Patchmaking tutorials for NBA 2K14.

Hello guys, today I’m going to teach you how to add beards/mustache/goatees or anything that concerns facial hair, to a player in any NBA 2k game. In this tutorial, I used Manu Ginobili's cyberface as an example. What you need:
1.) Photoshop/ Gimp
2.) Patience
3.) Ability to read well and thoroughlyFirst, open the dds file for the player’s face.

Then create a new layer. Use the brush tool and make your color picker setting like this:

(FYI, that’s the color gray.)
Then you need to paint the part that you wanted to have the beard on, like this. You can either paint his whole jaw as a whole or you can paint a part of his jaw so you can flip it later.

Then go to Filter >> Noise >> Add Noise

It should now look like this

Then go to Filter >> Blur >> Radial Blur and copy my settings

Result:

(It looks like shit for now. But trust me, it’s going to be good!)
After you do that, pay attention to this part of Photoshop

Now see that “Normal” thing there before the Opacity? Change that to Hard Light

It should look like this

Then it’s your turn to experiment with this but since I'm very helpful
, I’ll show you how I did mine.
Press ctrl+u and copy my settings

And the result should be this
Then I went and screwed with the Curves. Press CTRL+M and so I went on with this settings

So now the beard is looking SEXY

When you’re satisfied with the result, CTRL+A to copy the texture of the beard and paste it

It will look like that but use the Hard Light Blending thing again aaaaaaand Voila!

Now, go to Edit >> Transform >> Flip Horizontally

TADAAAAAAAA!
Now just pair it beside the beard that you made earlier
Outcome:

Now, you do the rest. Do the Alpha Channel, Green Texture, etc.

What do you mean by hair updates?
!
I mean, taking an already made cyberface and applying different hairstyles to it for personal use.
