(Easy) Downsampling with GeDoSaTo utility, 4K and more !

the concept of rendering the game at a much higher, custom made, resolution than your monitor is capable of displaying and subsequently having the GPU rescale the image ( as in downsample ) to that of your monitor's native resolution to which the end result is a "cleaner", sharper and less aliased image.

Well, my monitor displays only 1920x1080.

I've tried DownSamplingGui_0.6 with my Radeon, downsampling worked but "only" in 2560x1600 Couldn't go higher...

Then, I've discovered GeDoSaTo in a small downsampling topic on french forum canardpc.com

I've downloaded the last release GeDoSaTo Beta 10 Release – “Poltergeist” at official website : http://blog.metaclassofnil.com
Unzip the file, launch 2K14... fail
But after few tweaks, i achieve to run 2K14 (slowly) in 7680x4320 !

I let you try this fantastic tool.
I also share my (first light) config for 2K14, game runs smoothly in 3840x2160 with it.

And, feel free to share your config too, since you can add post processing effects directly in toGeDoSaTo

Cant seem to get this to work. Game crashes as soon as I start. What is your in game resolution?

For 2K14 you have to chose the Use alternative method injection

I still have not been able to make this thing work.

Yes, i can choose new resolutions in video settings menu.
Be sure to add the game in Whitelist (or to choose blacklist) and to disable ENB/Sweetfx

not really sure why it does not work... smh. I don't mean to keep bothering you. It appears I have added everything correctly but it just doesn't work. hmmm oh well. Thanks any way though

Well, a last try, here's what i've done.

1 - Disable my previous downsampling method (remove 2560x1440 from java gui for radeon)
2 - download & unzip "GeDoSaTo Beta 10 Release – “Poltergeist”
3 - copy my config file into GeDoSaTo\config (overwrite)
4 - configure GeDoSaTo with "Use alternative injection method", Blacklist
5 - activate GeDoSaTo
6 - Set 2K14 at 4K resolution in game video settings, & disable antialiasing & anisotropic ingame effects
