I don't have the right analog stick

If I have a gamepad without the right analog stick, will I be able to do the freestyle air and stuff. I mean will this affect the Slam Dunk contest or is there a solution (other than buying a new gamepad).

My current gamepad is Genius MaxFire G-08 - left analog stick and 8 buttons.

Yeah, the jab steps. But only in place, not when moving... Maybe there is an option at redifine keys where you can state what buttons to use for it or... ? :?

I know a few people were able to edit the controller config files in NBA Live 2004 and use the keyboard like the right analog stick, that might be possible in NBA Live 2005. Otherwise, I'd say Freestyle Air with the keyboard would be extremely limited if it is at all possible.
