Settings Reset Between Association Seasons

I am having difficulties with Association mode, namely I am trying to play with player roles turned off. It works great for the first season, but when I start a new season player roles are turned back on without a way to turn them off again. The rest of the settings reset to default as well but at least I can change those back. Does anyone know how to fix this glitch?
