well if its just a 360 port I doubt many on the NLSC would buy it

I'm guessing PC gamers would prefer a new game with minimal updates/new assets to mod and work with, as opposed to no game at all.

Look at last Years 2K, it was basically a Database Update with minor Gameplay Changes. I would just continue playing 2K14, because I modded it near perfection and a 360 Port would be a downgrade from that.

It's crazy how WWE 2K15 has screenshots, promo videos, and the whole 9 and it comes out Oct. 28th, but NBA 2K15, on the other hand, has jack squat and it comes out almost a month earlier than WWE.

We used to get trailers around June, and video in July/August. I wonder if all the late marketing is due to the competition or recent lack thereof.

or just to condense hype as much as possible. In terms of official marketing neither 2K or EA would mention last year's game past the finals a few years ago. Now we have 2K still promoting 2K14 throughout the summer with streams and MyTEAM codes.

Its probably done to keep the hype train rolling with no interruptions through launch. Prevent any delays with dev diaries or other articles from happening. Just straight 'here's info!' 'wow look at that info!' 'ICYMI info!' 'new info next week!' for the next 9 weeks.

In an interview with Polish site benchmark.pl, 2K executive producer Iain Willows confirmed that "The PC version of NBA 2K15 is now identical to the game on console." The interviewer confirmed that Willows was specifically relating to the PS4 and Xbox One version which means the PC edition will not be a port of the PS3 and Xbox 360 version of the game.

2K recently suggested that "elements" of the popular crew mode might be making a comeback in NBA 2K15 which launches on October 7th for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

With the extended line-up of Euroleague teams I think it's a safe bet to say that pc gets next-gen port. After all they're trying to appeal to a wider audience. In Europe and Asia there's a good market for pc games. Let's not forget basketball is internationally more popular than baseball or NFL for example. I don't see a reason why 2k shouldn't take advantage of the situation considering there's no alternative for basketball fans on pc. Also I think the modding possiblities alone bring more and more new players to the pc and multiplatform gaming.

I am going to say this, I heard that even the current gen will have many changes as far as my career being
more like 2k14 next gen and if they add halftime interviews and real player voice why would you not buy it
if you can mod a game with those changes hell I know a lot of you will say you wont buy it out
of spite but most of you are lying to your self's you will buy it and you will like it... BAM!! so take that

I think they won't admit that PC gets old-gen until the release because that would lower the pre-order numbers. It's all about the money for 2K on PC gaming market. No competition=no improvement and no care. Sad but true.

It may well be, but that's not an indication one way or the other. The PC version has seldom (if ever) been acknowledged in preview images in years past.

Sorry, but what preorders? I'm not preordering until I know what I'm getting.
As I stated before, if there is official confirmation that PC will be current-gen I'm preordering. Until then we can hope, but have to assume it's past-gen. 2K doesn't get benefit of doubt like Valve does (once they announce games that is) in my eyes.

PC always missing on list when 2k publishes screenshots/trailers/features of their future nba2k.
PC version is always just "coming out" without any previous announcements detail of PC version.

Can you please call the X1/PS4 game "Next-gen" and the other "Current gen" ? You're confusing me right know And I'm okay with you, I don't think that PC gamers will pre-order the game 60$ if they don't know what it is (it's the case for me)

The fact that the PC version wasn't mentionned can mean anything. 1) The game is Next-gen so the screenshots aren't about him OR 2) they will drop the game in current gen, without the crew mode OR 3) they are like "Who cares about PC ? )

I will say this. If PC was next gen, would 2K not want to brag about it? If it's current gen, it would make more sense for them to try to hide it.
