NBA Live Community Summit

Taken from the main page as I know a lot of people browse the forum first:

Andrew wrote:Originally I intended this to be a surprise, but as you may have already seen at nbalive.org, EA Sports is holding a Community Summit where members of the online NBA Live community will have an opportunity to meet the NBA Live production team and get an early hands-on preview of NBA Live 2005.

Shane Hefty will be representing the NLSC at the Summit, and will be reporting back to us with news and his impressions of the upcoming NBA Live. DANet from nbalive.org will also attend the event and will be posting his news reports over in their forums.

Shane needs to turn into one of those movie pirates that sneak cameras into movies theaters.

They are not allowed to take cameras into the studio so there will be no photos. They are allowed to take notes and tell us about everything they are shown of NBA Live 2005 though. So we should all get lots of good information about the game.

I had a feeling that might be the case. Still, as you said they will be able to provide us with a lot of good info.

Please take a close look at the low post gameplay and AI, they are the most important things. Allstar weekend can't be too bad since it's Tony Hawk like. If 2005 still has the low post gameplay like 2004, that's not gonna be fun.

and camera angles please! If they don't have the classic TV press view, please beg them to add it in.

Looking forward to your feedback! Enjoy man!

Actually, I'm back home now...but I have to work in an hour, so it won't be till tonight that I post anything substantial...and when I say substantial...I mean pages of stuff. ;)

And just a few quick comments to agonize you guys over the next 10 or so hours:

- the All-Star mode is a blast! Very high replay value
- Spacing seems to be completely fixed, and the pro-hop isn't as dominating...I'll explain their logic in implementation of freestyle and the pro-hop later.
- they found the "cpu catch up" bug and eliminated it
- dynasty mode is muuuuch better than last year, I'm talking leaps and bounds, and next year it may even be on par with madden...the guys in charge of it have great plans for the future, it's just a matter of time and resources...and that's true for everything else

*Keep in mind we all played a very early build, not even a beta...some things I can't comment fully on because they tweak things such as ratings, and there are various graphical glitches and crashes because of the build; because of that, I don't have a true feel for anything. Also, keep in mind I only played the all-star weekend, dynasty, and 5 on 5 for about an hour each*

These are great news already!

PS. I hope they got rid of those stupid bugs, like when a foul happen (especially the offensive foul), and the basket is made, IT COUNTS!!! Or if the basket is missed, then the other team has the ball but when to in-bound the ball the inbounding player is called for "OUT OF BOUNDS" !!!!!!
