I think it will probably go down to Boozer going to L.A. for Gasol or something like that.

I hope so; I'd much rather see Boozer go and Gibson stay.

I'd be more excited about the move if it happened a few years ago, but I don't want to sell Gasol short, either; he can still play, and he has a skillset that will continue to serve him well now that he's in his mid 30s. If it's going to be a done deal, I'm pleased to see it.

Adrian Wojnarowski: Pau Gasol, Chicago working to complete an agreement, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

The Spanish power forward will very likely continue his career with the Bulls. Pau has virtually sealed the deal with Chicago and plans to pass the medical examination before returning to Barcelona in the coming days. Marca.com

What would Bulls have to give in S-and-T as Lakers aren't just going to take Boozer's contract. They'd probably want picks or something. Bulls might just end up having to amnesty Booz to sign Gasol although Bulls have been cheap in past so we shall see.

Who gives a shit about Boozer when you're getting Gasol?

Plus this way Boozer can also return to Cleveland.

Nobody, I was just saying Bulls shouldn't give up assets to offload him to Lakers when they can just amnesty him. Then again, I'm not paying his final year salary so easier for me to say.

Lakers could actually use Boozer. No defense 1st quarter scorer could help Bryant rest until later in the game.

How did the Lakers not resign Kent Bazemore? That dude was electric last year.

Bulls - Gasol is a great pickup, better than Melo if Rose is healthy again. Can Taj play the 3? Lot of lineup options for the Bulls with McDermont, Gibson, Noah, Gasol.
2013 is the year?
Thanks to Vl@d, Leftos and all the other patchers for their hard work.

I agree Boozer with Lakers can work, they just won't want him without some draft considerations.

I don't think you'll see much Taj at 3, maybe just a 3 big rotation with him, Pau & Noah. You might see Taj guard some 3 at times when on floor with McDermott though depending on matchups. Jimmy Butler will play some 3 too.

This will also help Mirotic (if they sign him) not to get out of place with the team... It'll be like Kirilenko and Shved last year in Minnesota... but we don't know perhaps he's included to get Gasol to the Bulls...

this is a legit question. Gasol is an unrestricted FA and the bulls can amnesty as you mentioned. i'm crossing my fingers a s&t is in the works to help facilitate another s&t for another FA ;)

i have mixed feelings on acquiring Gasol but i will wait for the terms of the deal to be disclosed before i pass judgement

It hasn't been easy. After meditating it a lot I've chosen to play with the Chicago Bulls. Looking forward to this new chapter of my career

going to the Bulls

They need some offense so good move I guess. But if they move Boozer then it kinda evens things out.

We'll know about that soon enough, as it has to happen until next Wednesday.

Thibs will have a field day with Noah and Gasol as a big man duo. I get a hard-on thinking about the passing game of the Bulls with Pau and Noah on each high post.

Hopefully he can stay healthy.

Just remains to be seen how how they acquire him, but apart from that, sounds like a done deal. As I said before, I like it. He's slightly past his prime, but he would appear to have some quality years left in him.
