Tattoos visibility

Hey guys i have a question regarding tattoos. When i add them via NBA 2k12 Mod, in-game they are only visible when you zoom player in(they sort of are appearing slowly while zooming in), otherwise they fade out and are not visible in a greater distance. Any ideas why that is?
