C.J. Miles signs four year deal with the Pacers

Thu Jul 03, 2014 6:17 am

Great pickup:
Miles and the Pacers agreed to a four-year deal in the $18 million range, sources confirmed. The deal could potentially cut into the Pacers' flexibility when it comes to trying to re-sign swingman Lance Stephenson.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Stephenson now. He was great for them until he was an All-Star snub, and he was certainly great for memes in the Playoffs, but Paul George's initial non-committal answer when asked if he'd like to see Stephenson return suggests that he's somewhat fallen out with his teammates...or at least, the star of the team.

Concerning if it causes them to lose Lance, but he's a good player and a massive upgrade over Evan Turner.

I want Lance in another uniform so I like this. I'm sure the Pacers would like keep him as well but this probably also is an insurance move in case Lance leaves.

My dead grandpa would be an upgrade over Evan Turner.
Nice addition for the Pacers. Somehow I think they shouldn't bring back Lance, as he seemed to be the reason for some of the chemistry issues the Pacers had after the All Star break.

This signing is like getting Danny Granger back at a cheap price.
