How is stats like rebounds and assists affected in simulation?

It seems that scoring is affected by shot tendency, but how about rebounding and passing/assisting? For some reason CP3 averages like 6-7apg in my association game, I believe something is wrong but cant figure out why this is happening. Does anyone have a clue of how each stats is affected?
