Game crashes and goes to desktop when I start a game...

Whenever I try playing any matchup, immediately after the loading screen has reached 100%, the game closes and reverts back to my desktop. I've read a few people here have the same problem. But what's strange is that this is a new computer, and I ran the game before successfully on it, but stopped playing about a week ago. Today I try to play, and it now acts up on me. Short of uninstalling, is there anything I can try to get the game to load properly?!

do you use customart? that would be the first thing id address. if you are using it have you dloaded the EA patch?

Yep, I have the patch of course.

I tried re-installing the game, and everything worked fine then, but then I put in all of my xplayer files (I have a lot of player patches), and only those files (I have xcourt, xstadium and others) and the game started to crash again.

try installing your patchs using the EA graphics editor instead of using customart.
