Sterling's cancer tactic of gaining sympathy will be countered by the NBA sending KG after him.

Remember

It wouldn't be the first time Sterling has made headlines over prostate issues.

In 2002, Sterling famously refused to pay for then-assistant coach Kim Hughes to have surgery for prostate cancer. The billionaire's reasoning was that if he made an exception for Hughes to have the $70,000 surgery, he'd have to make it for everyone.

Instead, four players chipped in to pay for the procedure.

this entire thing really bring into question how far people can go to punish others. i am positive if you recorded everyone privately without them knowing everyone would have some dirt on them that they would not want others knowing. i dont like this guy but he was straight set up and now everyone and their dead aunt is coming out saying they want to buy the team

They can't ban him now, because he has retired.

He works for the Knicks now and that still makes him connected and part of the NBA.

You could also be banned from attending any NBA games and events.

"Sterling is not racist" - so says the ho:

“There’s been a number of occasions where Mr. Sterling and I had conversations just like this one. This was one of very many,” Stiviano told Barbara Walters on ABC’s 20/20 in an interview that aired Friday night. “Part of what the world heard was only 15 minutes. There’s a number of other hours that the world doesn’t know.”

The NBA will appoint a chief executive officer to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Los Angeles Clippers, the league announced Saturday.

Clippers owner Donald Sterling was banned for life from the NBA and fined $2.5 million on Tuesday by commissioner Adam Silver for racist remarks he made that were published by TMZ.

Team president Andy Roeser, one of the Clippers' two alternate governors besides Sterling, had been in charge of the team since Silver's announcement on Tuesday. Roeser, however, drew the ire of many in the organization after he released a statement initially giving Sterling the benefit of the doubt in the wake of Sterling's remarks.

Once appointed, sources said, the CEO will supersede Roeser, and be given the power to decide if Roeser remains with the organization.

The decision to appoint a CEO was made in concert with the Clippers organization. No timetable for the appointment was given except to say that it would be made "quickly."

This shows the gold digger was baiting Sterling in that leaked conversation.

Why was she even recording their conversation, to blackmail Sterling as insurance policy when she no longer receives $$$ from Sterling as his ho. Why did she even give the recorded conversation to a friend?

She's desperate saying Sterling is not racist because she realized that she stopped the flow of $$$ from Sterling to her. Dumb whore.

Could you elaborate that?

The World already got too many issues, and more serious problems to deal with it

Yeah that's exactly why the whole world went wild over a private statement.

So the measures are ok, imo,

How is penalizing a guy 2.5 million for privately expressing of his thoughts and forcing him to sell his 700 million franchise fair?

NOTE: I fully agree with the fact racism is disgusting and that it shouldn't have a place in sports.

Dude, if you know that "racism is disgusting and that it shouldn't have a place in sports" WE don't need to 'elaborate', 'go wild' or 'think' too much to know that a measure (by NBA - what so ever) against someone whom was a owner of any sport organization, that is definitely racist, don't deserve this right anymore.

We? Dude that word was specifically intended for you. If you consider you as "we", maybe you should have considered auditioning for the LOTR trilogy.

But you pretty much said my point and showed the problem.

It's dense people like yourself who think nothing should be discussed, just ban the guy as much as you can, without taking a minute to look the big picture.

Yes it deserves discussion. But, the NBA is going to protect its market which is the players. The Clips will get a new owner, Sterling will lose the court of public opinion(which he already lost), but probably win a legal battle.

That discussion will happen through the media. Stiviano was already interviewed on Barbara Walters, which Sterling was supposed to be apart of, but backed out.

We need to hold all people to equal standards. If a Black person in a position like Sterling was to say something bigoted then they should be jumped on too. Fuck everybody equally.

Dich, do you read my prior posts? I guess not, cause i said from the very beginning: we need INVESTIGATIONS. And don't put words on my mouth, :scold: i never said that "nothing should be discussed" and i'm not in favor of bans, and let's just forget the problem or others point of views, but at this case i defended the ban option, Sterling's opinions got nothing to do with team sports spirit, period.

If someone else gets interested at the "big picture", let's keep the investigations going, period again.

About the LOTR stuff, i liked the trilogy, but prefer the man of Hur film back in '59, Dich.

Rather than go into personal 'I did', 'no you did' quote wars, sum up your thoughts into 1 or 2 sentences so it is clear what your position is, if you want to keep debating.

restate it as briefly as possible, because the mini-quote replies skew anything in a forum. 500+ word post =/= 1 or 2 sentences.
