NBA 2K15 Wishlist (Both Current & Next)

Wed Apr 09, 2014 1:55 am

Hi my dear friends from NLSC...:) I don't know is that too early for this topic but I'ld like to hear all of your wishes for NBA 2K15 both current (PS3 & Xbox360) and next-gen (PS4, Xbox One & hopefully PC (hear us LEFTOS) :cheeky: ) versions of game...:D

My wishes're;

1) No more Rookie Showcase game: I still missing 2k11's draft combine, summer league stage of mycareer and I'ld like to see them in 2k15 or even better thing (real workouts like real draft combine...etc. )
2) More and more and more street courts, mods and challenges for blacktop mode: Like 2k10's blacktop that I never stop to play 'til 2k11...:)
3) Better all-star weekend: I wanna see better dunk contest, 3pt contest and other challenges in 2k15
4) Able to change uniforms in mycareer... I think that it isn't that hard at all...:?
5) PC RELEASE OF NEXT-GEN...

maybe like if they bring back draft combine you can do workouts(drills) before going through summer league and draft and then from there they can already give you bonus stats on how well you did on the drills and which teams would be scouting you already

I like the draft combine like 2k11 and summer league games that you play with the team you get drafted by

Don't know if there has been more 2k15 news released, but here is my wishlist.

Gameplay/Animations: Honestly, I didnt have much of a problem with gameplay or controls this year, rebounding is still an issue, but overall not much demands.

- Starting Lineup Introductions: I miss having small things like this in NBA Games. I want to be able to hear the MSG Announcer say - "Small Forward, at 6'8 out of Syracuse, *CarrrMellooooo Aaannnthonyyyyyyyy*. Lets hear it for your, New York Knicks" etc.
- Star Player Dominance: If I'm playing a playoff game against the Heat and we are up 3-2 in the series, I want LeBron James to come out and drop 44, 12, 6 etc. Same applies if I'm on his team (MyCareer). Sure, sometimes it can be annoying/frustating but it makes the game much more realistic. Have star players making more clutch shots. In MyCareer I shouldnt be scoring over around 20ppg as a rookie, especially if I have a superstar scorer on my team. And, these scorers should be able to consistently create there own shot and not need me in MyCareer to be dropping 10 APG in my rookie season in order for them to score.
- Living Crowd: Have the crowd react properly after different situations. Jump up and cheer loud after a clutch shot, boo loud after a bad call, chant 'defense' etc. Have people leave games in a blowout or a position where they know the team is going to lose.
- Improved Signature Jumpshots: Especially for the star players.
- ISO dribbling/Dunk animations: These animations were awesome in 2k10, give us back some of those.
- Next Gen Jumpshot Animation System: The aspect how no two jumpshots are the same. E.g. Leaning back on one leg after a contested shot.
- Signature Celebrations: LeBron pushing down with his hands and beating his chest, Carmelo Anthony Pointing 3 fingers to his head after a 3, James Harden/Jason Terry 3 Point Celebration, Kobe Face etc. Make it so we can assign these animations to players if we want to, MyCareer etc.
- All Star Game: Needless be said, defensive intensity needs to be dropped in the allstar game and people need to be taking deep 3's, throwing crazy passes, putting down fancy dunks, and having end scores of 144-138 etc.

Features:

MyCareer:
- Give us a proper experience back. I want to be able to go through the Draft Combine, Rookie Showcase, the Draft, Training Camp, Summer League, Dleague, NBA etc. If you could also throw in the Euro League for MyCareer as well that would be real nice.
- Let me choose what kind of player I want to be; A top 3 draft prospect hyped college superstar, A solid player developing into a successful career (75 overall etc.), A slow developer or Cinderella story like Jeremy Lin etc. Perhaps I want to take a route where I am not a top prospect, get drafted late to a team like Miami, play as a supporter to the big names, and then later I leave to another team and become a big time player, Eric Bledsoe etc. There is no reason at all, or any way in hell I should be playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder, being a rookie dropping 35 PPG in order to win games whilst Durant is playing alongside me dropping 19.3 PPG etc.
- Houses. We see in Next Gen 2k14 that we have that appartment that appears during cutscenes. Give us a range of houses/appartment we can choose from. Based on our salaries we will be able to afford bigger houses and actually manage and use the money we earn. Allow us to walk around the house and look at trophy cabinets, watch highlights from games on TV, search NBA Today on a computer, make phone calls to people etc. Make us have more to our "Career" than just the on court action.
- Custom Voices
- Jersey Selection

MyTeam: (Bring to PC Version)
MyGM: (Bring to PC Version)
Situation Mode: Why was this ever even taken out of the game?
Crew Mode/Park: Bring back and bring to PC

Graphically:
- Bring TNT PRESENTATION!!!

- Next Gen Port to PC

However, if they stick with giving us the current-gen port, I'd be fine with that as long as these are upgraded:

- Better Looking Crowd and Stadium shading: Atleast the crowd textures and stadium shading from Next Gen would satisfy. Hell the NBA Elite 11 Crowd looks better than 2k14's
- Tighter Jerseys: So many mods are made in regards to this, there is obvious reason to why people continue to make them (Nobody has made them quite good enough yet.)
- Accurate Jerseys/Courts: Being a Knicks fan, I am so sick of seeing their baby blue jerseys and their hideous court in every 2k PC release. This applies to all the other teams aswell.

Here is my wishlist :

I like to combine NBA 2k15 and GTA gameplay in myCareer if possible. MyPlayer can drive any cars, fight, steal, swim, travel, can build their own muscle, can hang out with their friends (to increase Teammate chemistry). by doing this the player will increase his attributes. And can visit those notable fans in their home.   HAHAHA.

Re: NBA 2K15 Wishlist (Both Current & Next)

1) Add double-post offense to the quickplay menu (like where you can select "post-up" or "get open"

2) Instead of more steal fouls, disable the amount of times the player can spam "X" on defense. So say, if you press it 5 times in a row within a second or two, it delays you another second before you can press it again. This will make online multiplayer better.

3) Fix the godamn online servers, for Christ sake

4) For the PC version, allow players to host their own servers (using their own equipment, like a lot of PC games do), so you can have private "The Park" sessions with the NLSC or other groups

5) Fix blacktop so Centers aren't PGs

6) If you really want to shock the world, make an "Arcade" Setting for NBA2K14 - with big heads and all that NBA Jam-type stuff

7) Allow PC users to import their photoshop designs as jerseys, similar to how Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 let you import your own custom billboards

8) Make a tutorial mode on how to fully use the playbook - I haven't to this day dabled much into all that

9) Bring back the NBA2K developer teams so I can cross over the lazy devs

10) In the developer teams, made Leftos wear a Pistons cap

1) Revamped MyCareer.
  • Creation should be "live" - so player is able to test out his shooting stroke and moves. I hate to create player with shooting form that looks good only to find out I wasted time, because I can't hit anything with it.
  • Ability to customize starting skills to some point, choose background (college star, local streetball champ, basically unknown wild card which was selected as reserve for summer league).
  • Player's progress would be natural - no skillpoints/VC for advancing skills. Those would evolve by performing on the court. Same goes for signature skills.
  • Stable minutes. I WANT to average 15-18 MPG in my rookie season while advancing slowly. I don't want to play 30 minutes in my 6th game.
  • Money/VC could be used to buy stuff like shoes, customizations, personal trainers, appartments, charity stuff, ...
2) Way more customization options (in creation and afterwards).
3) Pre-game footage.
4) More commentators' lines.
5) Indicator of recorded names in creation. I wanna know if commentators will be able to pronounce my player's name.
5b) Even better, record players' requests. Let's say players which buy the game will be able to submit their name and pronounciation to 2K and they would forward this to commentators and patch it in.
6) Better crowd. More chants, "fans" leaving when it looks like home team's gonna lose. Low attendance for bad teams in season, increasing with winning. Fan stats for team.
6b) Better stadium for All-Star weekend. Ordinary crowd, no stars on the sidelines, no people on the floor, no judges during Slam Dunk contest just break atmosphere.
7) Voice commands for PC. I don't want to go through quick menus. I wanna shout "Birdman post up!" in the mic. It's faster and I can focus on my ball handling.
8) User friendly interface for adding custom jerseys.
9) Ability to choose starting roster for MyCareer.
10) Starting MyCareer in the past. How about we get drafted in '84? Or in '92.
11) Oh and scoreboards with timeout indicators :)
And I totally forgot - SHAQTIN' A FOOL!

Well
1 - PC : improve engine (next gen version)
2 - Gameplay : improve first step acceleration, specially for fast players. In real NBA, fast PG or aliens do the differences on that point.
3 - Gameplay : improve post defense
4 - Network : improve netcode
5 - Gameplay : improve IA
6 - Steam : improve integration (Workshop / vats / achievements / market)
7 - Presentation : forget 2K13/2k14 style : back to 2K10 pre game footage, 2K11 post game options.
8 - Graphics : improve cheerleaders

Re: NBA 2K15 Wishlist (Both Current & Next)

1. Bring back Game of 21 Game mode from 2k11.
2. Improve Gameplay.
3. TNT Presentation.
4. Draft Combine like in 2k11 days that the user can play with the D-Leauge Team if the user didnt play as NBA Player should does.

Re: NBA 2K15 Wishlist (Both Current & Next)

Sun Jun 15, 2014 8:54 pm

1. Mod tool (roster editor) added as dlc
2. Next gen for pc

I like everything above just add one thing:
SIMMING.
In MyCareer: I just cant drag out 82 games, In this mode I WANT to get to my 10th year, or even higher, then retire. I cant do that when I play all 82 games in every season, so let me sim! I remember in NBA Live 09, they had a intervention mode for simming, this was a ton of fun, because I didn't have to play blowouts, and I only had to play fun moments of the games. For instance. When a game came down to the 4th Quarter and we were down by 10 or so, I was given the chance to play it, or when it was a close game with 3 minutes left, I could play it. Or if someone was about to break a record or something, I could play it. But that wasn't it, any time during the sim, I could press X and then choose to start playing, or I could just start playing from the start of the game just like normal.
Intervention Simming needs to be added as an option to MyCareer and MyGM in 2k15.

Re: NBA 2K15 Wishlist (Both Current & Next)

Mon Jun 16, 2014 9:41 am

Sim intervention would be great for both games moving forward. At the very least, an option to sim any game in MyCAREER as desired would be handy; the "Next Key Game" option is nice to have, but doesn't offer much flexibility.

> Realistic Draft Classes
> Realistic IA Logic in the Draft
> Draft Combine!!! - Just like 2k11!
> Can edit player's wingspan
> In MyCareer your player can choose to play in the Euroleague. I also wanted to see your player can workout and join the National Team.
> It would also be nice to have a FIBA/Olympics scenario in the association mode.
> Improve All-Star Weekend! Shooting Stars, Skills Challenge etc.
> Realistic Cutscenes
> Gameplay!!! - Most Important!

nothing to ask 2k, they know there job ,just hope to come back D League in association and be creative in accessories , add online/offline mode .

Good luck.

All I've ever wanted was to be able to navigate to a team's home page by clicking on them in the standings. Obviously this refers to season and association modes.

I promise to sign in once a year until this happens. (Y)

I have said this for years. No one has seem to answer this for me, so maybe you guys can help. I don't know if it is a licensing issue or what. But here is ONE thing that is just dying to be in the next 2K installment:

*Use the official audio used in REAL NBA arenas.* EA has done this for years, why can't 2k? I have been wanting to travel to Quicken Loans Arena with my PIstons, and hear the crowd go, "DEFENSE! DUN DUN DEFENSE! DUN DUN DEFENSE!" LOL. I think you ALL know what I'm talking about. :applaud: Anyway, I always get sick to my stomach when I hear 2K's little organ made sfx in the game. BOO I SAY! BOO! Does anyone have any insight on this?

I have an idea for 2K. Why don't they just make a game for the PS4/XBONE and then downscale the graphics so that last gen can run it? That sounds easier than making a whole lot other game. It will probably make everyone happier too

Game development doesn't work like that. Different generations of systems, different architecture. Not feasible, or at least easier said than done.

Import MyCareer save from 2k14 to 2k15. I'm waiting for this since 2k12. :bowdown2: :bowdown2: As rosters change during the offseason, I suggest simply put the player a person wants to import in the free agent table and let him negotiate a contract with any team he wants and can with.

Leave the skill points, but bring back the money system! Like it was in NBA 2k12, I think. You can buy signature jumpshots, layups, dunks etc with money. Just make them cheaper than it was in 2k12. And if you are bringing this back, give player some money for getting any endorsement :3

I'd like to see this too. If nothing else, it'd be nice if having a MyCAREER save from the previous year's game allowed you to start a career in the next game with the same team, and with a head start on your ratings, if you so choose; a partial continuation of your old save in other words, as a full continuation might be a little difficult to implement.
