problems with adding teams using RED MC

Thu Mar 13, 2014 9:48 am

hi there,
instead of using the create team feature in the game, I want to add teams using the RED MC,

this is what I'm doing right now to create a new team:
1. Clone a random team in the teams tab
2. Fill the roster spots, e.g. ROS_PG, ROS_SG.... with desired player IDs
3. For each player, change their teamID to the ID of the new team.

am I doing anything wrong?

I couldn't get it to work properly, there are two problems, the first problem is that in the select team page the player that shows up does not actually belong to the created team, and instead comes from the original team that was cloned. the second problem is that when I tweak the defensive settings before going into the game, I can't see the player names and all position names are PG.

What really it's pissing me off is the fact we can't export teams anymore, that's a huge, huuuge disavantage from 2K14 to 2K12 for example... Why 2K did that? We must find a way to make teams from diferent rosters play against each other, that's the greatest feature inside the UBR Mod, if we aren't allow to do that anymore, the Mod will decrease exponencially for me.

For example, the 92 Nets against the 71 Knicks, i'll never be able to recreate those matches anymore? I mean, we MUST HAVE A SOLUTION, NBA 2K14 is near to perfection for me, but we go for the roster solution we Always will gotta change the roster when we achieve its limits, replacing teams, which is very boring and annoying too.

The export feature gaves us an endless option to recreate perfectly the most various types of match ups. As so many times before, we must focus into a solution for that lack by 2K... The richest feature option doesn't exist anymore, just to recreate those "what if's" situations is worthy of a serious consideration and a try, imo.

ok when you are cloning your team you need to change the GID to somethining that is not being used. GID should only be one per team

problem solved, thanks for all your help, credits to Medevenx, all one needs to do is to let the CPU set the rotation and the correct players will show up in the preview.
