had the trainer working for a while, now cant even get the home screen to open. just get some error in a different language with a exclamation mark at the end. would love some help this is driving me nuts

This message appears everytime I attempt to start the trainer. Could anyone HELP ME?

Yea had/have the same problem same msg except the number at the bottom middle are different. I've used this trainer on windows 7 32bit before and it worked. Tried to run it for the first time in windows 8.1 64bit amd get the error msg.

However when I mess around with the compatibility settings and set it to windows 95 or 98 it seems to run the program. Every other compatibility setting seems to not work. Still doesn't really work though. Trainer loads but doesn't show any players to edit or really anything else. Everything seems to be set to the right dirs in the settings so not sure why. I have NBA 2k14 loaded but it doesn't seem to detect anything from it.

I'm using Windows 8.1 too.
I thought that it was th antivirus. And by changing the compatibility settings the number at the bottom middle changes too.
Hope that someone could help us fix this.
Maybe I'm going to get back to windows 7 or 8.

I just found out about this Fantasy Star Trainer tool so my question is maybe stupid. Can we use this tool to change players names in 2k14? If not , is there a way yet to do so?

I found a way to change players names (works for the Euroleague patch. Hope it works for the official Nba rosters too). I think maybe has been said earlier in this thread. We open the Trainer at "Player info" and change "Player type" to "existing created player". Then the player shows at the created players list. We can change the name (and other things if we want) by simply edit created player. When we are done we change the player type to "Currently active" again ,if we want. But there is a bug. The new surname must not be larger then the previous or else the extra letters replace the first name!

Can someone help me..? I change the playing minute of my my career via the Mc button in the trainer now whenever i play next game it crashes everytime.. Your help is greatly appreciated

The trainer doesn't work for me in association it just sets everything to 0 i even tried to edit the budget but that doesn't work either it just says -1 is there any way to fix this and will there be a v1.4 ?

Ok, had to re-download this and it's not working. I selected the correct file location that had my nba 2k14 in it and it comes up with that error screen about not selecting the right file destination for the program to run. It won't load anything now. I can't change the file location setting because all that pops up is an error message in Vietnamese or something. I've tried deleting the folder I put it in, then doing a registry sweep THEN re-downloading the trainer and it still comes up with that error message. NEED SOME HELP!

Nevermind, found out what it was. The trainer has some conflict with the Ultimate Roster download and won't run if you have it in your 2k folder. Having to re-install the game to get rid of all those files lol.

I have only in the last week downloaded this trainer and have also been playing around with the Ultimate Base roster. It would not load when the NBA game folder had the mod in it either, but I had an untouched game folder backed up elsewhere. At first I was renaming the folders to get the trainer to work, but in this thread someone posted the answer so I would not need to do that anymore.
When I changed the "settings" config file found in the trainer folder - Change the "Portrait =" from 1 to 0. Save the file. It now no longer loads the little portraits found in the right corner, but everything else works. So there is no need to re-install or remove that awesome mod.

Hello!

I have tried using that trainer on My Career player but got no luck. When I select "MC Player" at "Players" tab, I get error (won't even post screenshot because I don't have Chineese localization and it shows random characters). The only thing that worked for my player is "MC - Change to this player" but I don't want any other player's stats, name and ect. Can tell how to edit My player's hot zones step-by-step?

I've been usisng the trainer for a while now and I just developed a problem in mycareer. My record is stuck at 0-0 almost 20 games into my new season. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've searched about every page of this forum so far.

Hi everyone, I was able to install and use the trainer to edit the teams and players in mycareer that I wanted to, but it no longer works. Now, when starting the trainer the settings (first boot) dialogue box pops up, every time I try to set the game directory the settings error message appears; after several tries I tried reinstalling it but still the same problem. This leaves me wondering, what am I doing wrong? Or, what caused the trainer to stop working? If it helps, the nba2k14 is in my steam library, I'm using the same computer, the game is in the same directory (E:\Steam\steamapps\common\NBA2K14), basically no changes from the time it was first installed and ran smoothly to now when it no longer works.

Will be really grateful for any help or advice.
