nba live 2005 graphics

Live 2005 is looking great so far. But in the graphics department nba live has always been, in my opinion, a bit behind of espn. The videos and screenshots show this year a major improvment, but the lighting and shadowing is still off. EA Canada knows their way around this skill in the madden and nba street series.
(check out nba sreet vol. 3)

in the sound department it's a matter of taste. I personally am a fan of simulation, and don't like all the inhast exploding sounds made in dunks. I rather my b-ball game sounding and looking as real as posible.

I think this olympic year was a great opertunity to insert a few national teams in the game (with a fiba court) to play for the olyimpic title, but I don't know how many Americans would be iterested in this. mabey EA could develope an international basketball game simular to the fifa series

Yeah, I agree, it's about time they include national teams. It wouldn't have been intresting 10+ years ago, when The Dream Team was in it's prime, but now when the U.S. isn't as dominating you could have some pretty interesting maatchups...

If EA Big made NBA Live, the game would be a whole lot better in terms of animations, graphics, sounds, physics, and gameplay. Live has increased the amount of gameplay over the years, but I belive EA Big can do a hell of a better job.

My good man; Madden isn't being done by EA Canada as i remember. it should be made by EA Florida or another company. Search "Madden" on ign you may see the producers. Sorry if i am wrong.
And i have to tell you one thing. They shouldnt let EA Canada make NBA Live. They suck at it. :)

It's in Florida. It's Tiburon that makes Madden.

Agreed.

The graphics last year we good enough for me and I don't need them any better but after seeing the screenshots, I think the graphics have been improved :)

Yea...but if you compare them to ESPN's then there's definitely room for improvement.

hey, sorry my mistake about the mix up between the diffarent EA departments. I still think sometimes the NBA comunity knows how to grab the talents from europe, but never give true credit to the teams and coaches who raised these talents. In my opinion Europe is the last resort in basketball to play fundementle and smart basketball (with the exeption of a few NBA teams). It's time that NBA fans and NBA Live gamers know that their are great teams in Russia, Spain, Italy and all over europe. EA Fifa soccer series include U.S.A soccer teams even though they are not well known in Europe, so I think it's time for the live series to do the same.

i am just saying that imo graphics dont make the game. its everything else that makes a game fun and the graphics are just the iceing on the cake. for instance imo the grand theft auto series dont have that great of graphics but those games are imo the best games. i heard they upped the graphics a bit for GTA:SA but even if they didnt i still feel that game will be the best game ever made.

yeah, ive seen the screenshots.the resolutions are way better, they look "realistic" enough to jump out of your tv screen.
they have tweaked it here and there but there are a lot of things thats bothering me bout the player graphics....
Lebron's position when he was dunking seems to very awkward for me.its like he's gonna break some joint and he's back is a little stiff.
still the player's faces are realistic and umm..."up-to-date"but i could still ind no emotion in their faces.all that they could do it seems it shut their mouth or gape wide open.i would like to see earl boykins bleed when shaq gives him the elbow.lol.
to me resolutions, authentic courts, shoes that are visible even in the press box zoomed-out in a gazillion-by-gazillion res, they dont matter if the gamer's wont feel the action in the screensho's details.
simply put...twas ok until they started to look like manequins

forget espn's graphics...because although we have to catch up in graphics..they have to catch up in authentic arena.....and gameplay..and like said before i'd take gameplay over graphics..just like i did last yr.

Looking at the screens ive noticed one thing.
Every player seems to have a white lining around them.
does anyone else notice it???
i hope they fix that.
that would look kinda dodgy.
