This game is perplexing the hell outta me !!

Postby Uncle Drew on Mon Jan 27, 2014 9:24 am

I have the DD version of NBA2K14 purchased on Steam. I installed all the current court, cf's, jersey, dorna etc.. updates then loaded the game went to properties to create a backup disc to save the changes. After I burned 2 discs to backup all the updated files. I went to play the game and it says it's updating it. Now I haven't seen any patch upgrade or anything. My thinking is it's re-installing the game to default status and just as I suspected, I loaded the game and none of my updates are showing up. All that time wasted to install them. If I run the backup discs, will it re-install all the mods I put in? What the hell is going on and how do I keep the updated mods without having to re-download them every time?

The backups should restore those mods. Basically, always backup any modded files that you don't want to lose, in case the game does get reset to the default files.

Thx for the reply. How do I put the files on the DVD into the NBA2K directory? I've never done this before obviously.

Did you just burn the files straight to DVD? If so, copy and paste back to your HDD is probably the most straightforward method.

Yes, I burned them to the DVD disc. Do I copy and paste the files back to the NBA2K main directory?
