Bring back theChallenge or Not?

i just got another idea....not the brightest.....but i kinda like the NBA Live Challenge in the NBA Live 2001 game....Winning road streaks and getting certain stats or what not to unlock some stuff. I know with the new editions coming into 05' like the dunk contest, and the rest of the all*star weekend, no-one would want to waste there time while they play around with the all*star weekend and the improved Dynasty Mode which i agree with you all would be better.....but what do you all think......To bring back the challenge, or not bring back the challenge, that is the Question!

Was the Challenge Mode only available in the Playstation version? I certainly don't remember it being in the PC version of NBA Live 2001.

Yes, it was on Playstation version of NBA Live. It's quite fun actually, you can complete a level of goals to get into next level, e.g. grab 15 rebounds in a game, 10 blocks in a game, win by at least 10 points etc... There are some very interesting challenges as well, in PS versioin you can't select Jordan in 1vs1 mode, but if you complete the challenge " Beat Michael Jordan", Jordan became playable in the game.

Yeah that was probably the feature I most enjoyed in my old NBA Live 2000. It would be really cool if they put it back.

yea i really enjoyed playing it also....
sorry, didnt know they didnt have it for the pc version, im sure you would have maybe enjoyed it also, it was pretty cool

I can tell you it WASN't in the PC 2001, but I remember it on PS Live 2000. It was a fun challenge, like for 3 pointers, I would player-lock Glen Rice and ballhog...Andrew wrote:Was the Challenge Mode only available in the Playstation version? that was on the Nintendo 64 version of live 2000, as well

It sounds very similar to the Tasklist for the NBA Store/Dynasty Extras that was in NBA Live 2004. Sounds alright, as long as it isn't the focus of the game. I feel that unlockables are kind of arcade-ish.

I agree with you totally! There is no way it could be the focus of the game with all the new features coming in this year *ALLSTAR WEEKEND* ...(once again i cant wait till 05' is realeased) And yea i forgot all about the task list on 04'...i honestly never really took much notice to it myself but your totally right
