Agreed, though it's handy to have a visual reference for some of the basic controls. I'd actually forgotten about bank shots.

L1+X, lead pass, it is your friend that hates you an appropriate portion of time

There's a trick, while shooting, hold the left stick towards the basket, kinda how you would for a fade away, you can get a more accurate shot that way!! If you're having trouble shooting threes, just try it, success rate goes up

Sounds like a placebo to me.

What's the issue? It's super easy to nail the release in this game.

Got my 7-7 trophy with Battier of all people, have hit over 20 3's in a 5 min qtr game with Curry (hardest difficulty) and just today went on an 18-0 run in Ultimate Team all on 3's.

Had a quick game last night and couldn't seem to pull off bank shots or floaters. This is definitely where a free practice mode comes in handy.

Best I can tell, the release point on free throws is when the heels go up.

On jumpers, the release point seems to be when they flick their wrist.

pretty much on point with the FT heels thing, exceptions for Curry and Nash being quicker on my UT.

I never found that jumper hint helpful though. Too difficult to see and the replays of held-down jumpers never helped.
