We need nicknames for players like Giannis Atekumpous(?) whom nobody could spell his name right (actually, can't even say it right).

Nickname Night may have been worth it just to see Jeff Van Gundy and Mike Breen with "Notorious JVG" and "Gray Mamba" jerseys.

Wishing Lopez had played, he had Brooklyn on his name, according to this SB Nation post.

It seems there's a lot of bandwagoners in Brooklyn... it's like when you watch a Bulls game when they play at Milwaukee...

I have plenty of nicknames, especially since coming to the US, considering my last name is nearly as fun for anyone non-Greek to pronounce. The Greek Freak, however, is not one of them.

The Heat are still wearing the nicknames on their jerseys. Any other teams?

I would not mind a James Harden jersey with "Fear the Beard" written across the back.
