!!** Pre-Game & Half-time Shootaround **!!

Postby Wormy10 on Sat Jul 24, 2004 6:23 pm

wats crackin... how many think there should be a pregame and/or halftime shootaround? Maybe have a certain player or whatever shootaround or do some dunks or whatever to get warmed up, and if the player does alot of shooting he may start out on some what of a hot streak or whatever...not starting cold but yet not having the complete disadvantage at the same time...... What you think?

Forgot to mention this... Maybe the other players standing or shooting around also could make so comments...like if your the raptors and V.C. goes up does some wicked dunk some of the players (bench warmers) could be like " Yo, sick dunk man, lets see that in the game....or somethin like that.

I see what you're saying and it's not a bad idea. But I have to disagree with it because people don't want to wait 5 or 10 minutes watching players shoot around. It's gonna be too boring. In my case, I would just want to start playing right away. And I like Live 04's style of pregame stuff. But they should do the same thing for halftime.

Please stop making posts in this section with the "**!!" highlights. If everyone started doing it..it would make this section a little too confusing.

Maybe if you could select to do it or not. Like go to Start menu and click skip but it's a good idea. I would not mind it but after a while I think it would be useless and boring. Not exactly sure though

Yeah...I think that people would get tired of it fast, and would want to skip it and get to the real action..good idea though (Y)

As long as skipping it didn't place you at a disadvantage, it's not a bad idea. But also consider that some players don't shootaround much before the game as they find they shoot themselves out of rhythm. For example, Reggie Miller is a very superstitious basketball player. If he doesn't participate in the shootaround before a playoff game and has a great game, he won't participate in the shootaround before the next game either. For the most part, it doesn't seem to place him at a disadvantage.

They do that in NFL 2K5...Like...The Commentator would shoot to the Bench before the Game and the players would be like

"Yo, You ready?"
"Yeah I'm Ready"
"Alright..."
"We'sa bout to get this sucka started"

Little details that can be very cool (Y)

Talking is apart of the game so I don't see why that won't be a good idea ;)
