Hi Cam! Just wondering if you can look at the 3D model of the mid cut shoes. The inner heel of the left shoe is kinda messed up. This occurs on all mid cut shoes. Maybe you can fix it on your next release? Thanks and keep up the great work!

Thanks man, the answer to your question is kind of a yes and a no lol. It is a successor to the Compilation Global as I am still using SeanJohn's Base (for now, unless I decide to use default skin tones) And in a way it's something I want to be completely different. When I first started the compilation global I knew maybe 5% of the things I know now. Before I was somewhat blindly importing and exporting layers, testing things, just going for whatever looked okay at the moment. I didn't fully grasp all the mechanics of Globals until maybe the 9th or 10th release. Now with my new-found knowledge of making textures with GIMP and3D editing in Blender, with this global I'm looking to revolutionize and push to the limit the effect a global can have on the game, by way of 100's of body edits, new textures, etc. etc. The one thing I'm missing is hex editing which I know sounds like a broken record, but I just wish I could have someone take me under their wing and teach me how to hex edit skin tones, shadows and lighting values in the way that SJ did.

Yeah that's what I noticed too, even in the menus when you rotate a player. It's as if the computer monitor acts as the light source opposed to there being a set source within stadiums and such.

Thanks bro, yea I'll be shortening the length of the neck. As far as the eyes looking cartoonish, how so? Because of their color, pupil size, Iris size, sclera whiteness? Give me some specifics so I know what to look at.

I understand what you're saying completely though I only have control over certain things that you pointed out. The eyes on LeBron are large but that's due to the CyberFace. The width and height of eyes come from within the 3D headshape of each CF so I can't really adjust it, but I do see what you see. The neck was my biggest observation when I did the side by side as well, not only in length but in girth. The Width of his neck is that of a body builder or WWE Wrestler so I'll definitely be working with that.

1. All new features from that version are in that global, it's just 2k spots default body models is all.

Thanks again for the feedback guys. I've been working myself ragged trying to get things just right and had a rude awakening with some of the things I have planned :crazyeyes: (replacing knee braces with tights, editing finger straps to be more realistic) It may take some hacking or editing elsewhere for my 3D models to be compatible but we'll see (Y) I had been working on the tights all night long so I neglected a lot of the things on my to-do list. I'm gonna go ahead and tackle some of those edits so I can have some previews to show you all. Stay tuned (Y)

For the Poll - Post 810: I would vote for A or B. But I think the bigger ball will conflict with the size of the rim? Which is in a different file. I believe, it's in the s###.iff files. And I'm worried of the bigger hands not fitting on the ball in a right way cause of animation? That's just what I think.

821: I'll leave it all up to you and others feedbacks.

Maybe someone have already asked this to you,Cam, but what enb/sweet fx are you using in your pictures? And I have to say thank you,I spend more time on the replay to see the effects you global bring to the game,instead of play my association..!!! :D :D :D

And btw, I hope you continue to work on that long knee sleeve to replace the knee brace. Barely anyone in the NBA uses the knee brace, the long sleeve would be a better fit.

Haha yes there will be an option. I'm working on different lighting for V2 and may just use V2 only, but we'll see. Check the preview below. With so many different preferences I'm going to have to put a lot to poll before going and releasing 1 global and getting 583 different requests :crazyeyes:

Yes it's possible to make the NBA logo on the headband larger, this will however effect the size of the NBA logo on jerseys and socks. I think socks and headbands do deserve larger logos, I'm not so sure about how it'll look on jerseys. But I'll play around with it. As far as positioning, with 2k having their "left" and "right" side versions of the headband position I'm not sure how to adjust this, it's probably in some of the coding somewhere, I'd have to learn how to crack and adjust it.

When I release the global you'll see the link, and the roster I use is med's. I've changed equipment though as I've made changes to the equipment within body mods.

Yeah I'm most likely going to leave them alone, I mean, I've had reported issues of the hands not touching the ball which has nothing to do with any of my or any one elses edits, but I figured I'd put it to a poll as I do have some control over perhaps fixing this.

Glad to hear you're enjoying the effects of the Global man, I use the Crystal Clear Photo ENB, I personally feel it looks great with the global for skin tones, small details, courts, etc.

Crystal Clear Photo ENB, and I have been working on it but replacing it doesn't seem to be as simple as I thought.


Well guys since the last update I've been pretty discouraged by a couple of the things I had wanted to alter after finding out the hard way some of the limitations as well as things that may be out of my control, however may be able to alter at a later time. We'll see..Anywho here's my updated To-Do list as well as some previews of things I have accomplished/am experimenting with at the moment.

(New successes in green, new failures in red, new works in progress in gold)


Changes that are complete/near completion:

~Lengthened legs to optimum athlete proportions
~Increased shoulder size on Muscular body types to a reasonable size
~Fixed Half Calf Sleeve's length to reflect the way Melo wears them
~Tightened Knee sleeves as pointed out by DMavs as much as I possibly could
~Fixed sock lengths to be compatible with most equipment that they're supposed to correlate with
~Slightly increased shoe size but kept my previous shoe contour edits
~Increased Ankle Brace and Ankle Wrap lengths
~Edit Arm Sleeves to be slightly longer (Still need to lengthen short arm sleeve, and fix 3D model glitch with left arm, preview of the new change below)
~Create new Padded half calf sleeve texture
~Redesign/decide on knee pad texture

Changes I have yet to do/Works in progress:

~Create new ankle brace texture
~Create new padded arm sleeve texture
~Create/Decide what to put in the Ankle Wrap texture area
~Test ways to get 2k11 sweat on default skin
~Fine tune sweat mechanics and appearance (Preview of progress below)
~Work on skin lighting (A mid point betweein BETA's lack of lighting and v0.2's harsh lighting, Preview below)
~Learn to Hex Edit skin tones and many other things in global (Still no sensei for this sadly)

Changes that have failed thusfar:

~Adjust neck length, width, trapezius height, head position (Edits made in blender dont fully translate in-game. Neck length is somewhat of an enigma due to cyberface headshapes controlling necks. However, the shoulders and such do show changes on players in certain positions)
~Replace Knee Brace Layer with Long Knee Sleeves/Tights (3D Model appears distorted much like the shorts in my tight jersey mod, from information shared with me certain things require hacking/cracking in order for my Blender edits to apply, so this will be on hold until someone can help me do so)
~Attempt to fix the bump on Lagoa's Next-Gen Arm Sleeve to fit the hexagonal shape of the padded texture (Need to properly edit vertices, might just leave the bump as is)
~Attempt to fix the glitched area in the tricep area (I've tried pretty much everything imaginable, alas it seems there may be no fix for this)
~Edit finger straps to be like seen in real life/next-gen (With working with such a small area and the number of vertices in Blender needing to match, simply lengthening the straps to the base of the finger as well as removing the tip over the nail of the finger is a difficult combination to amount to the exact amount of vertices required for import)

hey Cam i have a question no offense but just an observation since there is NO WAY i could do what you do as far as globals but LBJ still has a long neck so is it possible that you could upload us an image with no neck adjustment but with the new shoulders just a question :bowdown: :bowdown: :bowdown: :bowdown: :bowdown: :bowdown: :bowdown: :bowdown: :applaud: :applaud: :applaud: :applaud: :applaud:

Lebron looks better with the new skin lighting, sweat also looks great on Kyrie (Y)
You can add more shine on shoulder & neck area that facing upwards (on the top of the head too when the players are bald), in many photos, the shines look intense on that parts, also you can add the shines on collarbones area.

Looks great. I hate to throw out more requests, but with the UBR and retro stuff coming soon, i thought maybe i'd ask anyway to make those rosters more accurate.

First, the elbow band. For some reason, this bothers me the most. It's just a large wristband placed over the elbow. Many players of the 90s and early 2000s preferred this. In 2k, it looks like a tight piece of tape around the elbow. It needs to be lengthened, with slight bulk and wrinkle added and a wrist band texture. I used a global in 2k12 that did this, and it was perfect, but i can't for the life of me find it again.

Second. Am i the only one who find it's it pointless to have 2 mid length socks? Can one not be turned into a mid length striped sock? Majority of players back in the day all the way to bob cousy or bill russell wore those and not the knee length striped socks.

Third. 2k11 and 2k12 had a global that i can't find who made, but the Jordan calf sleeve was custom, with a larger upper fold that actually looks like its folded down to reveal the red(or team color) of the band underneath just like in real life jordan sleeve.

Fourth. Knee strap. Is it possible to make it flatter and longer like how Shawn Kemp wore? Antonio McDyess in his prime wore it like this too as well as college Penny. Also, its closer to fitting how kobe wore his calf band, though his was larger.

Last idea and probably not possible, but just as i dont see a point in 2 mid length socks, i dont see a point in having elbow pad and elbow sleeve. They are the same except one has bubble padding. Can we use one of those or even the forearm strap to edit and turn into a bicep band like how Kobe, Francis, Barkley all have worn before?

Sir cam the new sweat effect is amazing it looks realistic. The arm sleeves also is fantastic. All of the changes you have done is great i couldn't ask for more I dont give suggestion i only appreciate the hard work you have put in this global, i mean you've really taking this seriously without asking something in return. Man if i could have paypal account i'd love to donate as much as i can but too bad i dont have any bank account or something. The only thing i can give you is to PRAISE YOU...

By that do you mean new shoulders by raising them or lowering them as I intended? In the LeBron previews with the new lighting, the LBJ on the left is with the old body the new on the right. But as I said earlier in the update of my status, neck length is kind of out of my control for the most part because it's within the cyberface's headshape. It's something that is more apparent during animations rather than in standing positions. (check the photo of Melo with the longer arm sleeve)

Thanks, yeah my intent with the new lighting is to hopefully kill a flock of birds with one stone; give realistic lighting, provide better sweat effect, reduce redness from SJ's skin tones, enhance the quality of details on cyberfaces and tattoos. First, the elbow band. For some reason, this bothers me the most. It's just a large wristband placed over the elbow. Many players of the 90s and early 2000s preferred this. Third. 2k11 and 2k12 had a global that i can't find who made, but the Jordan calf sleeve was custom, with a larger upper fold that actually looks like its folded down to reveal the red(or team color) of the band underneath just like in real life jordan sleeve.

Fourth. Knee strap. Is it possible to make it flatter and longer like how Shawn Kemp wore? Antonio McDyess in his prime wore it like this too as well as college Penny. Also, its closer to fitting how kobe wore his calf band, though his was larger.

Last idea and probably not possible, but just as i dont see a point in 2 mid length socks, i dont see a point in having elbow pad and elbow sleeve. They are the same except one has bubble padding. Can we use one of those or even the forearm strap to edit and turn into a bicep band like how Kobe, Francis, Barkley all have worn before?

If none of this is possible, then my bad. Sure hope some can be done though! Your global and UBR has me going nuts!

Man that's a lot of attention to detail lol. For numbers 1, 4 and 5 I for sure have the ability to make all of these edits in Blender, I just have uncertainties about how or if they'll appear/import correctly in-game. Number 2 I can do for sure, just a simple texture creation and replacement. Number 3 it would help if that global could be found so I can use/recreate that texture. With all of these requests I would say it would be better off for me to make maybe a separate global for UBR with these edits and maybe anything else you guys can come up with. I don't know if the UBR makers have a global that they'll be using but if one is needed I can consider doing so. Ask them if it's needed and if so I'll throw it on my project list; I don't want to make all the edits if they have something else already planned as although minor edits, it's a lot of work to get everything to function :crazyeyes: So just let me know what they say (Y)

Yeah I'm kind of a perfectionist so I really have OCD when it comes to some things I observe that I feel warrant adjusting that is within my abilities to change. For the sake of experimenting I'll probably increase the ball size and test the physics, how it interacts with bodies and all that stuff with the potential of there being positive results. No worries on the Knee sleeves, I preferred them to be tighter as well as all all accessories that are thin in real life. I sure do love a challenge though so I have been working with the socks however it doesn't look as good as it could due to the angle of the vertices of the socks in Blender. So I MAY have to revert the knee sleeves to how they looked previously if I'm unsuccessful. It's funny that you mention getting sick again, I literally just went to urgent care (basically a walk-in clinic) yesterday because I was feeling ill again and was diagnosed with mono because of my lack of sleep so they say lol. But no biggie, as long as I'm breathing I'm modding :mrgreen:

Well guys I woke up nice and early 5 AM, and am back to work to HOPEFULLY finish most if not everything on my to-do list. Meaning 1 of 2 things.
1. More Previews
2. Another BETA Release

With help from some other modders in being able to override some things within the Global's coding I'll be able to release the official version. If not, the official release will just contain less things than I had planned. After a nice cup of coffee I'm ready to mod, so I'll be updating throughout the day barring any setbacks (Y)

wow again bro this looks awesome! and i love that you return the skintone a lil bit closer to the default color,coz i think it looks more realistic,only the white players needed some skintone mods not much on the black players, and by the way the sweat looks realistic now on the forehead hope you can make the same on the arms, thank's!
