EA sports online (**EASO Wishlist**)

has anyone heard about any improvments/changes for the EASO for NBA Live 2005?

there had dang well better be alot of improvements.

-ADJUSTED PLAYER RATINGS (so that someone who's average opponent rating is 1400 can't be rated 2000 or something)

-REMATCHES (why can't you just click rematch to play the same person again? would save alot of time)

-CHANGE QUICK PLAYS!why can't you do this online? that's insane

-NO CONTROLLER PROFILES- one person being able to have their controller set to rookie while you are playing on superstar is the WORST idea i have ever heard! absurd!

CONNECTION ERRORS-some sort of block from your opponent being able to create a connection error. i'm sick and tired of feeling like i have to let people back into the game when i'm up big--just so they won't get upset, disconnect, and leave me winless.

-TOURNAMENTS=a better system for tournaments. i can't tell you how many tourneys i've showed up for, when my opponent for the round didn't show up....and i just sit there for the entire length of the round with 'start playing' or whatever clicked, and then the damn EASO gives the guy who didn't show up the win. again, absurd.

CAMERA ANGLES-if you are joining a game (not hosting)--be able to pick your camera before the game starts! if i lose the tip, and the other guy is playing with the sideline camera or something, he will probably get an easy bucket, just because i can't play with any other camera than press box (i'm old school, i know )

PICK TEAMS BEFOREHAND-I also have MVP Baseball 2004, and when you create a game, you choose your team then, so the person joining knows who they are going to play. Why isn't this in NBA Live?

-In addition to choosing the team beforehand, why not show the player ratings as well? This way you would know before you enter the game whether his rosters are legit or if he has a 99-rated Milwaukee team with created/edited players (idea by fgrep15).

-CHANGE PROPLAY-have any game 5 min or more quarters, and allstar and up difficulty, count on the online records/stats/etc.

-OFFICIAL ROSTER PATCH-no offense to NLSC, cause your guys' patches are great. but there are way too many cheaters online for EA to not make an official patch. All other rosters should not be able to be played online. Or at least make the versions of the rosters the 2 players have to be the same version.

NO 2-1 GAMES- You should at least be able to tell that you are going to be playing against more than one other human. (idea by fgrep15)

HAVE MULTIPLAYER GAMES- To expand on the previous idea, On Tiger Woods PGA tour 2004, online matchups can be up to 4 people. Why not be able to create a game, and have 3 (heck, why not 9) more people join the matchup. The game wouldn't be able to start until both teams had been filled--so there would be no 2 on 1, 3 on 1, etc. games.


I hate to gripe, because it's wonderful that it is free, but these really are just silly little things that could be easily fixed, i'm sure.

anyone else have any ideas? I'm sure i have more, i just can't think of them right now.

You can choose your camera angle before you start playing online. I use press box to and I always change my camera angle before I play.

pro play sucks

most real players play there games superstar 6 mins at least
all star is weak
and they need to get them a set roster like on madden so people cant cheat and have players like derek fisher doin 360 windmill dunks

I agree with all of these, but my BIGGEST concern about EASO is simply this:


MAKE THE SYSTEM BETTER CHEAT/GRIEF PROOF!

I mean, this has to be the easiest game to cheat and screw up other people's playing time. I mean there are guys that edit rosters, create connection errors, pause the game and disable the timer, the list goes on and on.

The previous longest winning streak champion was piress12, and he got all those wins by simply editing rosters.

There's gotta be some kind of system for making complaints. I mean, if 500 people tell EA that the winning streak champ is a cheat (and give proof of course) then EA should investigate and ban them or something.


BTW- whats the difference between all star and superstar online?

if you host the game (create the game) it uses the rosters you have loaded. BOTH players use the rosters you have loaded.

You can choose your camera angle before you start playing online. I use press box to and I always change my camera angle before I play.

if you create the game you get to choose the camera. but the person who joins your game doesn't. they have to use the camera you choose, until they can pause to change the camera setting. if you are thinking of direct connection, that is different. we are talking about the EASO service.

There are numerous differences, mostly the same as what they are vs. CPU-- free throws are harder, etc. Unless of course the other person has their CONTROLLER PROFILE set to another setting, then they get to play at whatever difficulty they want to

-away with "proplay". i think that anything 5 min quarters-plus should count on your record. you should still have rated/non rated options, but it's dumb that i have to play a 5 minute quarter game for it to count on my record, stats, etc. and, also, be able to play on allstar OR superstar

I agree with these, first I hate how you don't know who you're playing unless the person talks to you in the game.

After someone joins your game their should be a lobby, kinda like in Starcraft online, and many other games online, where you can talk to the person and ask about rosters and stuff, and you can see who they are, and their rating.

About Rosters, I'd be happy if the did have updates, I manually update my rosters to rea life, but their's some people that do stupidness like make the 95 Bulls, or make their favourite player had 95 in FG and 3PT, or their favourite team very good.
What you should be able to do is when picking teams you should be able to look at the rosters and see the individual player ratings, so you'll know if a person is cheating or not.
Team ratings aren't the best because the game's team ratings are based on the talent on the team, not their performance, and if you just reorder the rosters you can make some teams ratings higher.


I also agree with the proplay thing, just count every game that has 5 minutes quarters and is all-star difficulty or above.

I didn't know people did that, I just though some people knew how to shoot extremely well. Another thing is how many people you'rep laying against, I remember one time I had these guys playing me 2 v 1, they were the Spurs and the one guy would just get position with Duncan, get the dump, and shoot, and they also gave Duncan a 90 FG rating, I wasn't too pleased.
Maybe they could add a 2 v 2 thing, even though harldy anyone would go on, but in normal mode only one controller should be allowed on either side.

I do my own rosters and they're good, but I want this too, I hate having people that makes the stupid rosters, and also the people that have the original rosters all year, and you have guys like Michael Redd sucking, and FLip Murray can't even dribble a ball, and Kirk Hinrich is slower than Corie Blount

a controller profile is like where it says "player one" or whatever. if you open that up--there are several options. you can change the difficulty setting that that profile is. it's like a handicap. it's not just freethrows---EVERYTHING for that player is as if he was playing on rookie. that's why some people can make a 3pter with boykins if yao is right in his face...or why some people can block shaq using cuttino mobley....stuff like that. and actually, you can set shot control to CPU in those options too.


and--i will be updating my original post with people's ideas (and giving you credit with your name in red. keep 'em comin. i'd love to affect some change--even if it doesn't happen until live 2006. (which i guess it really wouldn't. unless they release a new version of easo after live 2005 comes out- which is entirely possible- it does say a version number on the main screen).

Oh man... I just came back from a game (the guy was rated in the 1600's or whatever) and he made SO MANY ally oops! I started to get suspicious on like the 5th one in a row, I lost count, Iverson had 13 assists. I asked him after the game how he did it he was like "dunno"... strange..
