I have to say, in listening to this interview there are several things I find insulting to me as a gamer and more importantly me as a consumer. To say that most gamers are essentially graphics whores.... WHAT?? So basically the majority of us are mindless boobs who only like pretty pictures. Secondly, if this game was such a gem why all the media spins, EA apologist and timeline excuses? I really wanted this game to succeed but the garbage they are trying to spoon feed us is really rubbing me the wrong way. Not only that but to try to convince us the consumer that we are all wrong for wanting a product that fully represents the sport it was created to mimic is one of the WORST sales pitches I've ever heard. So because if we the gamers might complain about the teams colors being wrong or that the players don't look like the players they were designed to imitate we are just mindless idiots who only care about graphics. I don't know about you but I for one care if someone is trying to sell me something created with lazy half-ass intent. And this game is more ASS than half I assure you.
Wow, I mean seriously, listen closely to that interview. its as though the guy interviewing him is leading him from one excuse to another and basically insulting 90% of his fan base in the process. How does either one of these dudes know what I do and or don't know about basketball or its fundementals? Who are they to judge us as gamers? Because they made a subpar product its our fault for wanting something more? If they never cared about the graphics then they should have made the game for the older systems. Forget putting in real NBA players, just call it NBA Bare-bones 14 and see how much it sells then. But evidently they didn't give a damn about gameplay as well considering the game plays like the drunk girl at the party. Seriously, I think I speak for most of us when I say give us the full package, graphics, good gameplay, a solid simulation that fully represents the sport your game is based upon or us nothing at all. At least not this mess of a game. Man, that interview just made it worse for me. How bogus.
