Reports of No CAP in NG 2k14.

there have been some reports on few sites like os and youtube vidoes that there is no cap system in the next gen set of 2k14. Does any heard or seen any confirmation of this ? Doesn't make any sensce due to the fact myplayer is a cap. Any info would be great .

Interesting, there are similar reports about NBA Live 14 as well. Perhaps both developers are thinking that nobody has any desire to create players outside of those modes, which I would suggest is an inaccurate assumption.

yes with the fact many retro rosters have been growing throught the last few yr on console. And lack of updates to players.

The first version of "next gen" sports titles tend to be very bare bones. Features missing, etc. It probably was eliminated due to time constraints. I remember when 360 launched with Madden, it was the skimpiest version of Madden ever.

True, but it seemed like both developers were looking to avoid that this time around. Hopefully it's not the new philosophy they're going with, though if so then perhaps they'll rethink it for next year.

If it's truly not there.. I'd be really surprised. With all the things they're adding to the next gen version.. that's unacceptable.

Hopefully they can add it via patch or however they're gonna fix problems on NG.

I didn't even see an option to edit My Player's facial features, you just get to pick from 20 something generic faces probably based on real people as one of them is Mike fckin Wang, but nowhere can you customize any other aspect of the face.....

So I'm stuck with a my player that looks nothing like me

Seriously? That's ridiculous.

Between that, the linearity of the mode, and the owner's existence in MyGM...maybe they'd be better off working in a field of non-interactive entertainment?

I guess it's allowed them to boast about cyberface quality faces for MyCAREER, but that's a somewhat misleading statement when you're limited to selecting from pre-made face textures. It's technically true, but it's not the level of customisation that most gamers were probably hoping for.

Yea I actually deleted My Player today, it's a bust for me personally but I was super excited for it before I figured all this out....... the long drawn out cut scenes are absolutely killing it for me you can't even fckin skip through them. It doesn't make sense to me, seems they want you to be fully immersed in the mode with all this extra crap they loaded into it, but then you turn around and see you're stuck with a random face and that same annoying voice thats been in the game for years and a few other more minor annoyances.....

anyway I understand what it is, it's the first year so it is what it is, I am very happy with the gameplay, although we all expect it to be better next year and following years
