Milwaukee Bucks Dynasty

Postby trees on Sun Jul 18, 2004 8:49 am

I've decided to challenge myself a little and start a dynasty with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Settings:
Playing on XBOX
28 Games
8 Min Quarters
12 Min Sim
Superstar
Custom Sliders
Custom Rosters(updated and including 25 04-05 rookies)

I simmed the 03-04 season, but made a trade before the deadline.

Image
MIL Trades:
SF Keith Van Horn (66)
SF Toni Kukoc (65)
PF Szymon Szewczyk (43)

Image
WAS Trades:
1st round 04-05
SF Jared Jeffries (55)
SG Juan Dixon (54)

We were looking to develop a young up and coming team for the future. So we were looking to move 2 of our older veterans(VanHorn + Kukoc) for some youth.
Washington was in need of a SF. They were starting Jared Jeffries (rated 55) and were without a backup SF. Also Juan Dixon was getting no PT, playing behind Larry Hughes and Jarvis Hayes.

2004-05 NBA DRAFT
We ended up with the #1 pick, #22 from WAS and the 1st pick in the 2nd round.

And with the 1st overall pick in the 2004-2005 NBA draft the Milwaukee Bucks select Adelaja Lambert out of Maryland!

#1. MIL - SG Adelaja Lambert (72)
#2. ATL - SG Akinlabi Ibeabuchi (71)
#3. CLE - SG Donyell Adams (70)
#4. POR - SG Declan Dillon (69)
#5. SEA - SF Samuel Dunn (72)
---------------------------------------------
#22. POR - PG Musa Oakley (57)
#30. POR - PG Furious Alford (41)

Other draft notables:
LAC - PG B.Cotton (68)
ORL - SF R.Delk (65)
CHI - SF D.Grand (64)

04-05 Offseason

We let SF/SG Desmon Mason (71) go in free agency. Mason is a great athletic young player, but was too undersized to play SF and didnt have a good enough shot to play SG. Also Mason was looking to make over 200,000 points a season, an ammount in which we were not looking to invest in a player who would probably come off the bench.

Top Free Agents
SG - Allen Iverson (83)
PG - Steve Nash (74)
SF - Desmond Mason (71)
PF - Kurt Thomas (69)

Before the start of the 04-05 season we pulled off a 3 team deal. Here's the details:

Image
MIL Trades:
PF Joe Smith (66)
PF Zaza Pachulia (43)
PG Musa Oakley (57)
PG Furious Alford (41)
MIL Recieves:
PG Balthasar Cotton (66)
PF Chris Wilcox (52)
PF Ruben Wolkowyski (36)

Image
LAC Trades:
PG Balthasar Cotton (66)
PF Chris Wilcox (52)
LAC Recieves:
C Tony Battie (60)
PG Musa Oakley (57)
SF Kedrick Brown (55)

Image
CLE Trades:
C Tony Battie (60)
SF Kedrick Brown (55)
PF Ruben Wolkowyskli (43)
CLE Recives:
PF Joe Smith (66)
PF Zaza Pachulia (43)
PG Furious Alford (41)

We needed a PG that could come in and be effective right away and went with rookie Balthasar Cotton out of Eastern Michigan. TJ Ford (59) is good, but with his height disadvantage and low shooting percentages we wanted him to come off the bench. Wilcox is another young potentially good player and LAC had too many young talented PF's and needed to move one.
The LAC get a starting center in Tony Battie and also a good backup SF in Kedrick Brown. Battie will move to the starting C spot and Chris Kaman(59) will move to the backup role. Although they lose a top PG prospect they get another young rookie PG in return in Musa Oakley. Oakley will come of the bench behind starting PG Shaun Livingston(67).
Cleveland loses Battie whom was coming off the bench behind Zydrunas Ilgauskas(71), but with the loss of Battie CLE now is able to let DeSagane Diop(55 - improved from 49 over 1 season) move up in the chain and get some playing time behind Big Z. CLE, left without a PF after the Carlos Boozer fiasco, picks up a quality starting PF in Joe Smith and a young dependable backup PF in Zaza Pachulia, which should help round out their roster heading into the 04-05 season.

Free Agency

MIL had about 500,000 points to spend in free agency. We weren't looking for any long or major contracts and went with 2 year offers to the following players:
C - Chris Mihm(55) 2 years/100, 000pts
PF/C - Keon Clark (65) 2 years/200, 000pts
SF - Gerald Wallace (59) 2 years/168, 500pts

2004-05 Milwaukee Bucks Roster
