Cool trailer, btw.

Very well put together trailer and the game looks awesome; the details on the players are fantastic. I just hope the game plays as good as it looks, shedding some of the issues that did detract from what were (and are) great games on current gen. Hopefully, those animations won't come at the price of some clunky/out of control/running in mud moments as they do at times with the current gen engine.

Bench players in uniforms still have static uniforms (long standing nitpick)

loved the hi-resolution detail they got with the shiny Warriors logos on the front of their unis, detailed bumpmapping, FULL REFLECTIONS, ahh, so much good here

Graphically, it doesn't appear so. But what if the current gen clunkiness and AI quirks carry over? Eye candy is one thing, but if the gameplay doesn't feel next gen as well, it'll be a letdown.

Thought that was a real game until I saw how fast everyone was moving, wow. I think I should've given 2k a chance back in the day.

Hate to nitpick, but Harden's beard went through his jersey

yea, seems like there won't be any physics on that beard (clipped in the close up as well) or hair (noah in background)

Oh, I wasn't disagreeing with that. I'm just saying, graphics aren't everything and as much as I've enjoyed 2K current gen these past few years, there are issues that I definitely don't want to see make it through to the next generation. Otherwise, it'll be something of a letdown, even if the game is stunning to look at.

Basically, I hope that the new tech is being put to great use in other areas as well as the aesthetics, but it is possible that they'll err. Consider that they were hyping NBA 2K14 current gen as the definitive, best 2K game ever made for those platforms; the community reactions so far don't quite agree with that. We can't fairly expect perfection or everything to be close to exactly how we'd like it to be in the very first release on this upcoming generation but I'm hoping for the total package; substance as well as the eye candy.
