sound when playing online

i have most of the sound turned down, menu music, commentator, arena etc, but when i play online (all i do) it is back real loud.

my buddies and i use voice chat while playing, and i cant hear them cuz the game is so loud.


can i turn down the sound for online somehow?

this is odd, i've never had that problem before, all the sound controls should be the same. i'm not sure what to tell you- i guess maybe you could remove the sound files from the game's folders on your hard drive? I really don't know. Never heard of any problem like this. Are you playing on EA online or through direct connect?
