created players

i know i asked this in another thread(on page 9) but i was wondering how you can create players and enter them into the draft. i dont see a way to do this but i as i have read other peoples franchises it sounded like you could. thanks

The create player button wont work in Dynasty as far as I know. I guess they have altered the database after the computer created the rookies. But how exactly this has to be done I dont know.

From what I know, you can't pre-input them into the draft as the CPU generates them and you really have no control over that15 seconds on what the computer is making. I do my Database edits afterwords after you're finished with the post and preseason process.

now tell me if i am wrong here but didnt nba live used to have a way where you could create players to enter the draft? maybe 3 or 4 years ago? maybe i am totally off here but i think i remember it. hmm maybe it was actually madden, i know for sure madden had that at one point(maybe still does) but not sure if live did.

No, the NBA live series never had that option. At least I don't think so because I've never seen that option before.

not in dynasty (or franchise) mode. but there was an option before- i have no idea why there isn't now-- for just a fantasy draft (not inside of season or dynasty mode--just from the main menu)-if u had created players, they'd be in the fantasy draft

well that's always been there hasn't it? I'm sure we can still do that in Live 2004. Create a player and put him in the fantasy draft. Tell me if I'm wrong.

the fantasy draft is only inside of season or dynasty mode now

before, there was just fantasy draft in the main menu

ok so i was just thinking of madden. i knew that madden had it because i used to add 2-3 people i knew and 2-3(i made 5 per year total) of people i made up. then tossed them in the draft.

well if next years live(maybe 2 years from now) can come up with what this years madden has, i will be so damn happy. i love this entire thing about players becoming unhappy and demanding trades. this happens alot in the nba(2 big names this year are demanding trades and 1 big fella already got his wish). this would be great imo. say you are miami and you got wade then you go and trade up in the draft to select the top pointguard in the draft. this could cause problems.

still live needs to fix gameplay issues before it gets to this level of detail.

i see absolutely no reason that EA cannot develop both basic gameplay and "extra" features at the same time. if they put just a BIT more effort into this series, it would be, no-contest, no arguments, the best basketball game. if not the best sports game period. but, then again, they're making plenty of money, so they really don't need to worry about it too much, do they?? :roll:

Nope.

Infact they try to add 1 or 2 really good features every year to keep people coming back.

YOu know and I know that NBA Live is the best sports game but they don't have to put ALL THIS money in it every year when they can add a feature here and there and get the same sales if not more.

This is my opinion, not fact. :shock:

i gotta agree with you both(cept for the fact you said live is the bst sports game, i like it the most but i have to say madden is years beyond and many times better than live is, though this year is a step in the right direction.) i still think though that this years live shows only good things for the future, if they dont get lazy again....

I want to know how to enter created players into draft.... and also why like when I finish a season like it overwrites some of my created players with drafted ones.... don't like that... will this happen after every season??
