please let us be able to edit player ages this year?

i want to be able to play association mode and edit legends back down to their rookie ratings and then sign them to nba teams in place of computer generated rookies. either this, or allow us to clone existing players/legends when creating a draft class. how fun would it be to control all teams and as the Celtics draft Russell and Hiesohn one year, to the Celtics Sam Jones the next and so on? Havlicek, Collins... Eventually Bird and Parish...? you could recreate every draft class... essentially turning 2015 into 1956/57 draft year and go from there recreating nba history. think of it like a rollover draft... letting history repeat itself. this is impossible in 2k12 and 2k13... because you can't edit ages. however i did do this in 2k11... i just dropped all the legends into the free agent pool and kept them at their rookie year ages until it was time to put them on a team... but since all the classic teams are only teams Jordan faced off against you dont get all the players you would need to play this way. its as simple as unlocking the ability to edit ages. or like i said to clone cyberfaces. 2k should let us play the damn game any way we want to play it, and this is how i want to play.

It would be nice and presumably it wouldn't cause any problems to do it, but I'm guessing it's unlikely to happen. Their focus is going to be on replicating the current league so they're unlikely to be able to cater to every possible way to play the game, especially when it comes to modifying the game (internally or externally).

I'm not saying they shouldn't do it, but with all the things they're trying to do it, it's probably not something they're giving a lot of thought to, so perhaps don't get your hopes up too much.

Editing ages would lead to Nash not retiring after 1 season, Kobe playing multiple seasons(because his ratings fall slooooooooooowly but he retires for me at the age of 36/37) as well.

Right, which is what some people want to do when they're playing with fantasy rosters. Having that feature would be handy for them and eliminate the need for external modification.

On 2K11 I played 7 seasons with Lakers and had Kobe retire at the age of 40 with 41 000-something points and as the best player ever. I wanted to recreate that this year but unfortunately it isn't possible since there is no changing age. We can't have those 'stayed for too long' veterans.

I wish they would have every NBA schedule since the beginning of the league and you could bring in your teams to play that year.

That one might be tough to implement, but that'd be awesome for retro mods.

son of a bitch. i guess we have to wait for more black armed created players to be uploaded on 2kshare. hopefully they fix this issue on the next gen version.

I'm guessing they won't patch it in. I doubt it's high on their list of priorities.
