simulate a season or association to the ASW. Or play a MC until then.

There is no way to play it outside of those modes unfortunately.

well I'm a bit disapointed about the pro stick , they replaced left/right hand layup animation by hop step/eurostep animation, they have also simplified dunk with right stick, now you can only do RT (R2) + RS toward the basket, you can't chose anymore if you want to do fancy , safe or 2 handed dunk. it's a shame...

meh... like I said in the other thread, the PC version I have, just a roster update with some new animations, feels a little bit smoother crisper, other than that same game....

looking forward to seeing what they got happening for the next gen versions, just saw the trailer and graphics look really pretty, hoping there's much more to it than just better graphics though

Game feels much like last year in a big picture view. Not a big jump. In fact I think 2k12 and 2k13 I had much more of a kid during X-mas morning feeling. The Lebron stuff is not nearly as "cool" as the Jordan and Legends.

I played 2 minutes with the new controls then switched back to last years control scheme. Glad they kept it. I kept pump faking instead of using triple threat....

My initial impression is I am going to play the hell out of this game because the gameplay is the best of any sports game ever. But I come away wishing I would have reserved a next gen console. But this game is definitely one that I will play more hours....game play is stellar.

More turnovers, loose balls, longer rebounds (something I have wanted for years). I have got some really great fast break/ secondary break action. The feel of the gameplay is top notch.

Back to work then back to gaming.

I think double tap X does a hop step type move off a turbo dribble, at least I did it once that way

Sorry I never used that button so that may be different.

The game is pretty much the same as 2k13 with roster update and an increased in blocking/defense, which you can pretty much do with a slider change in 2k13 and a updated roster patch! So disappointed..they didn't even fix the playoff bug, where the team with the better standing doesn't get home court advantage. Stupid!

Is there the 3pt contest? Also, can any other Aussies buy NBA 2K14 from Steam?

This game would be so much more enjoyable if it were beta tested like a properly developed PC game... so much petty, annoying crap that could be patched in less than a week if 2K had the desire to release a polished game.

My LBJ DLC key doesn't seem to work, I don't think I'm typing it in wrong so that's a head scratcher, will contact 2K support later on today.

Played two games with 10 minutes on superstar. Feels pretty polished.

First game with Lakers vs Spurs; felt good. Only thing was that Nash had 2-3 blocks on Parker which felt a bit odd.

Second game with Pacers vs Heat; a closer affair from start to finish (as opposed to SA killing LA's old ass with FBs), LeBron being LeBron really picked his shots and found team mates, the defense from Hibbert/West felt good too.

It is just a "polished" version of 2K13 so far but I don't think that's a bad thing. 2K13 was a great game imo and this will last me a year before I opt to go over to the next gen for 2k15. Good first impressions.

Judging by one of Ronnie's Tweets, quite a few people have been having issues with the pre-order DLC code, so Support should hopefully have a solution worked out by now.

on PC version the menu is pretty sluggish. Same issue for me as last year with performance. I recommend not using the ingame AA and vsync, and instead forcing it on with drivers. Once that is done the game ran silky smooth. Menu was still choppy though.
Also noticed a new setting this year called "Depth of Field". Not sure what it does though

No problems with menus here, i7 3930 4ghz and GTX570 system

depth of field - does the background blur in cut scenes and close ups

Tested a bit.
First, I can't find the Hop Step button, it has been replaced by Pick Play or somewhat. I don't use the right stick. Is there any way to map Hop Step to a button or should I use the right stick?

Game seems the same as 2K13 at first sight, with minimal changes.
LeBron intro is cool. Menus are pretty similar to 2K13, no problems (AMD A10 with HD7950 integrated, 8 Gb RAM).
Gameplay seems to be a bit messy. I played 5 minutes and the ball was kicked out of bounds twice. I noticed the players tends to get together, too many players in the same place (can't explain better, sorry). Defense is harder.
I'll test it deeper these days.

BTW, "Depth of field" option was already available in 2K13.

I think the spacing is better, you can run proper pick and rolls without feeling you have no where to go. Dunking is harder and going in to the paint seems tougher (again, playing with LA here). The Clips were a dunkfest though, although their starting line up in an association seemed a bit puzzling with Blake at C and Jordan on the bench.

Good stuff about the Ronnie tweet, don't do the whole twittering thing so thanks for the heads up Drew, gonna see if I can get that solved tonight or tomorrow.

Takes a bit of getting used to, the scheme says hold RT and stick to dunk but I'm yet to successfully do it in a game.
