Talk about NBA 2K14 here.

I'm still going with the lack of MyTEAM and Crew Mode. It seems to me if they were actually going to give the PC version some special attention, they'd make mention of it at least a couple of times before the game comes out. I'd rather be pleasantly surprised, so I'm not getting my hopes up.

That would be kind of messed up to say that it is like the next gen version because it is lacking features.

Why? They don't want to sell PC copies if they can sell people on another version.

But perfect.

Exactly. That's why I'm sceptical that they've done anything different with the PC version, except take out features that rely on VC.

I still feel like there's been a miscommunication.

My best guess is JasonWilliams55 is benji or shadowgrin.

current gen port + next gen architecture (x86)?

maybe some AI from next gen

after seeing the next gen trailer, i would more than gladly give up some features in order to have graphics even close to what they previewed.

Yeah I'm torn between the 2. The next gen will look and play better but PC will able to be modded. If the next gen version has some really bad faces or light blue Knicks away jerseys, will I be able to put up with that for a whole year?? I'm leaning towards yes but still unsure

What is hybrid about the Pc version? Can anyone tell?
Wed Oct 02, 2013 6:52 am
ah man, I played it for an hour and can't play anymore, it just feels like a roster update and a few new animations, feels a bit crisper and smoother, other than that, it's the same game as 2K13....
I can't hate though, I'd rather they focus on blowing up the spot with their next gen versions as opposed to try to polish this turd of an engine any further

There is nothing hybrid. Unless there is a patch... PC version is just the current gen game, minus the content they strip out on the port.

I think it's now safe to say there was a miscommunication/misunderstanding there.

maybe it was full resolution? PC's face and arm textures are the actual 512x512 textures while 2K13 everything and 2K14 PS360 use the first mipmap, 256x256

While that's good news, that's kind of an obscure, technical detail for them to reference. I'm going with misunderstanding.

Balance of Current Gen and the lack of announced features of Next gen.
