For some reason Rudy Gay is overrated by the casual fans even though he has terrible metrics. I think most people are coming down on Blake finally. Don't think anyone thinks DeAndre Jordan is anything special, especially his coaches, with his 22 mpg career average, making 10.9 mill.

But hey, u talking about Gay, ofc he shud be rated a little bit lower(-4 maybe -5), but look at Howard. He is real rating beast.

^ Wow I really hope Marc Gasol and Brook Lopez aren't rated the same as Russell Westbrook. He's going to be better than the likes of Wade, Kobe, Rose, Melo, Parker, and mostly everyone rated in front of him, not named Lebron, Durant, or Chris Paul really. I'd put Curry, Harden, Howard, Melo, and possibly Rose (probably not though) in that category. Those should really be the only 90+ ratings. Don't say Kobe or Wade, they're too old at this point, and Kobe is coming off an injury that will eventually be known as a career-killer. Can't think of a player who tore his achilles that stayed even half the player they used to be.

Westbrook is coming off an injury, Marc Gasol is a beast, and I'm not sure of Lopez, was never sold on him, defensively that is

Westbrook didn't tear his ACL or anything. His knee is fine. He's a clear-cut top 10 player in the league. I can't put Marc Gasol over him or I'll laugh too hard.

This should be changed to player rating predictions with reasoning behind all the ratings.

Let's see where the perennially overrated players in 2k end up this year.


Nick Young- already revealed he's overrated once again at 75, should be well below 70- he's awful

Ben Gordon- Check this site out - In a fully comprehensive ranking of NBA players, Gordon was DEAD LAST in 2012-13. He shouldn't be even close to 70

Tyrus Thomas - getting waived by the Cats has to do something to his inflated 2k rating. Should be around 60 at best.

Brandon Jennings - If I sim three years and Jennings has a 95 rating again I am going to go ballistic

Bricky Rubio - should be mid-70s until he figures out a way to shoot more than like 35%. i'm tired of watching him pile on 30 and 20 against me

Every Gerald Green, Terrence Ross, Nick Young, etc type scrub that likes to run the break and dunk a lot should be running the break a lot less, but these guys are usually overrated by 5-10 points anyway.

imo 2k never really put any care in objective ratings or a more sophisticated rating system. they talk about their partnership or whatever with stats inc or what not, but nothing more detailed than that. i like what Lives trying to do with ratings.
