I've gone from a huge PC gamer to more of a console guy in recent years. My desktop is still very capable and I enjoy games on both, but there're couple reasons I prefer to play on console these days. Simlicity, big 120' screen over 27' monitor, controller over mouse/keyboard, couch over desk, multiplayer with house guest. And not to mention some great console exclusives. I will probably go back to being a huge PC gamer when I get a new comp though.
720p should be a minor issue(can anyone really tell dif between 1080p anyway? Maybe on a big big ass tv... even then PC minitors aren't that big either). Give console game devs time to properly adjust. I mean next gen isn't even out yet. And NO, I am not a console elitist. I just find this entire PC is definite better argument silly.
My PC is hooked up to my main home theatre setup:

And I'm really not trying to prove anything. Just stating some facts and waiting for someone to come and help sway me to purchasing a console. Honestly I'm closer to buying a PS3 at this point for Last of US and GTA V, than a PS4 at the moment. While I agree 720p vs 1080p is pretty minor, it's just the fact that game developers like Dice are already having to make compromises to visuals. I pretty much read an article on how they were disappointed by the PS4 performance and haven't been able to shake it. Hell Titanfall alone might make me purchase a nextgen console.
