There's no competition. Add a few tweaks here and there, throw in Crew Mode, put LeBron on the cover and get the hype going. It's been a working model, why stop now?

This is why I don't care at all about the current gen game. My focus is on Next Gen, and I might even consider switching to Live if 2K puts out a watered down game.

Well since what little gameplay/graphics I'm seeing aren't such a big improvement over last year, and since MyPlayer is the game mode I play the most, and they are not releasing anything substantially new to that game mode.... I have less and less reasons to buy this year game....and why would I?
Unless they fixed some of the major bugs the mode had in 2k13 i will simply patch my 2k13 with the new rosters and continue using it.

I guess that's OK, a decent bonus feature to spotlight the game's cover player, but as we've said it's basically Creating a Legend with a couple of extra elements.

Still, it's pretty cool, right? The future is always interesting.

I'm sure it will be a solid enough mode, but at the end of the day it's basically Creating a Legend with a new coat of paint. I imagine it's a lot more appealing for fans of LeBron James but for me, it's too similar to an existing mode to be all that exciting and without any historical content, it feels like it could've been so much more.

Clearly, Lebron is the best player in the world right now, but that path to greatness mode, I don't think, everyone will appreciate it even he's the best out there. For me, I would rather play my career and made my own "path to greatness" and at least that was not even limited to 7 years, unless, that "contract extension signing" bug isn't fix yet.

No way LeBron would let that happen. It's not a "what if" mode. I'm sure it's basically MyLebron mode with added content as you try to achieve goals aka whore stats.
