Any Classic Teams in 2k14

Q: With the addition of Euroleague, did any other teams have to be removed? We would hate to see Classic/Legend teams get removed. From what we understand, classic players were contracted from NBA 2K11 through NBA 2K13, has that been extended?

Not confirmed, but likely.

Chances are they're still in the game based on that answer, but another player or two will be missing here or there due to their likeness rights not being renewed. My guess is that they haven't received much attention and there won't be any new classic teams, but it would be a pleasant surprise if they were able to get a couple of players back into the game.

I hope no one major fails to renew. Playing as the '02 Kings or '71 Bucks wasn't bad in 2K13 by any means, but I missed C-Webb and Kareem. I'd hate to have to have the '96 Sonics with no Kemp or the '89 Pistons without Isiah.

I m sure there are many others fans who love the classic teams way more than the current teams~
Adding Europe leagues` teams mean nothing to me.
I truely hope 2K won`t let us down.

I don't know, it sounds like they will remove at least some of those classic teams, but it won't be a result of adding Euroleague teams, just probably some licencing issues.. They are just giving a diplomatic answer, because they don't want to disapoint fans who like playing with classic teams. They will probably try to talk about new exciting features first to ease off those bad news. Either that or they aren't sure about some teams/players being included which is also a bad sign, because it means that things aren't moving swiftly.. But well I could be completely wrong. Good thing classic teams are not important to me or else I would be worried

it definitely sounds like some will be removed.

They did specifically say that they didn't remove any classic teams to get Euroleague teams into the game. While that doesn't rule out the possibility that some classic teams had to be removed because too many players didn't have their likeness rights renewed, it's far from definite confirmation that that's the case.

2K14 is already a sucess, but for maintaing their edge over EA, 2K Sports must repeat the formula that is already working... IMO, that's why 2K11, 12 and 13 make so much sucess in recent past.

I think it's definitely a safe bet that the classic teams are not a priority this year. In a way, that's fair enough; unless you're going to do NBA's Greatest every year - which I wouldn't be against, don't get me wrong - the main focus should always be on the current league. I'm guessing most if not all of the teams will be there, but a player or two here and there might unfortunately be gone.

2K can go either way imo, in having the Euroleague teams plus now the crew mod or the classic teams in other side, but the smartest way to vanish EA (Whom got, i mean... MUST explore the FIBA License) is keeping what's made them sucessful throughout those years alive and Strong. Open gaps only made the competition increase.

Ofc, we'll Always have on the current NBA Season their main goal, but a good game Always seek for increase their avaiable options instead of diminush them.

2K Sports have the Coke formula in hands right now, better not waste... If you get what i mean.
