Countdown to NBA 2K14

The game is simple. Post pictures of players with jersey numbers that match the number of days left until the release of NBA 2K14. One player per post, per day. If someone else takes the player you wanted to post, you'll have to choose someone else.

As with last year, you're allowed to get creative if you can't find pictures of certain players or no players wore the jersey number that matches the number of days left. That means you can use pictures of up to two players to add up to the day (eg Scott Pollard's #66 plus LeBron James' #6 = #72 for 72 days left), but only if there are no real jersey numbers available or they've all been posted already.

Since this year we have Euroleague teams in 2k14, you can include pictures of Euroleague players as well. Because there isn't a database of numbers for the Euroleague like Basketball reference, you can still use pictures of two players if there isn't one in the NBA.

This is the countdown we're going by. Note that this year, we're doing it properly. For example, if there is 64 days, X minutes and X seconds remaining in the countdown, that's 65 days remaining. It won't be 64 days remaining until we're down to 63 days, 59 minutes and 59 seconds.

And we get to do two, since the actual release date of the Next Gen version has yet to be confirmed. So, if you miss out on your favourite player, you've got another shot at it.
