So the team didn't make any moves during the season and they get to send away two most important assets for nothing. Not ideal but it is what it is I guess.

I'd say that's a steal for the Hawks.

I'm surprised the Jazz didn't keep him. I guess they also fully intend to tank, and turn Enes Kanter to 20-10-8(to) player.

No worries for the Jazz, they've got Andris Biedrins.

The Jazz did the right moves finally trying to get their young talents some playing time. You can build on Kanter and Favors as well as Burks and Hayward and then have enough cap room (Jefferson, Biedrins) to resign the best of these guys and add some players to put the team over the hump. Clever moves.

I like it for the Jazz, Favors & Kanter have shown flashes of being pretty damn good & If you've got a logjam at both the positions, why not give it a shot.
Solid addition for the Hawks too.

i still don't get this signing. i figured the hawks would try to get a center and slide horford to the 4.

Not really a lot of centers out there to be gotten.

Well he is 6-10/250 and has amounted a double-double last season, so in a league that loves small ball and has maybe three or four legit centers in the East, why not play him at C? (especially when you have a good PF who can still cause a mismatch here and there)

Horford's fared pretty well at centre so far, so I'd say they can make it work.
