Dirk Nowitzki is a Center on the game, but plays more Power Forward than Center. Walker started Center most last year, but I have no clue what they will do this year.

Thanks for the feedback, all noted. (Y) I didn't expect to get all the rookie ratings right the first time, so any suggestions (especially specific changes ;)), please let me know.

Heres my 2 cents... since I watch the Lakers a lot I guess I'll give some feedback on them...

Derek Fisher... lower the 3pt!!! How is he even having at least 75, IMO he's a worse 3 pt shooter then Kobe!!!

Slava Medvedenko... he has range! He can shoot 3's! If you give him the ball, he will shoot! Still in the game all he has is FG and 12' range, maybe you could give him some 3pt rating OR go through the dbf and edit his range?

Kareem Rush... I don't know how would represent it in the game, but he's either on or hes off... either great shooting game or horrible..

As always, great work Andrew....

One thing I noticed tho....

Richard jefferson - got a nice 3PT rating boost and his range increased to 25', but his FG rating dropped 2 from 66 to 64....I know he gets alot of point by running and dunking, but he ranked 12th in the NBA for FG% last season and he seems relatively low compared to alot of other players....plus his increased range makes him take more jump shots in the game, yet his FG rating is dropping and it'll make him a worse shooter :(

Sat Jul 10, 2004 11:12 pm

Ginobili's scoring is low and Duncan range is 20 or more and not 18 (i think)

Turkoglu 90 3pt is too much

anyway its a great roster, good job

To add on to this, I think he should be a 76 FG. His mid-ranged game developed into one of the better ones in the game. He made his jump shot at a 42% clip, which is good considering Kobe only hit his jumpers 40% and Vince 41% of the time.

oh yeah. and i noticed in the last patch that iverson wasn't even on the scoring leaders list in my franches. mayb u fixed it in 9, but if u didn't could u look into that also please?

All suggestions noted. (Y)

If a player doesn't appear in enough games or score enough total points, he won't be included in the scoring leaders even if he has a high enough average. Perhaps this was the case in your Dynasty?

Sun Jul 11, 2004 11:15 pm

he was only averaging only around 20 points or so tho

Mon Jul 12, 2004 12:02 am

cleveland tony battie higher block rating. he's a better block than what he's rating is at 77.

dallas steve nash lower def. aware. he's overrated in def. awareness.
he should have higher off awareness. he's a very good offensive player.
dirk nowitzki lower block. he's 60 is too high for him.

detroit tayshaun prince higher offensive rebound rating. his atheticism and length makes him very active in the offensive boards.
he lower fg and 3pt rating because not that good as a shooter.

indiana ron artest higher def awareness. he's the defensive player of the year.
jamal tinsley lower pass rating. he's too high at 94.

los angeles lakers shaq o neal higher block rating. he's a better block than what he's rating is at 82.

memphis jayson williams lower pass rating. he should not be tied with jason kidd in passing.

minnesota kevin garnett dunking should be 95. he should rank the same with s.swift and mcgrady in dunking. it was an excellent move to lower his overall from 97 w/c is too high.
he should have higher off awareness. 82 is too lowhe can pass and score very well.

new jersey jason kidd higher off aware. 79 is way too low for him.
he should have a bit lower def. awareness.

phoenix amare stoudemire higher inside scoring. he's a good inside scorer.

sacramento vlade divac lower block, speed and defensive awareness. he's a good defender but he has slowed down bcoz of his age. he doesnt block a lot of shots. he uses his body to defend.

san antonio manu ginobilli higher speed, quickness and jump. i think hes really speedy bcoa his step covers ground. his quickness makes him a good defender. antawn jamison who is definitely slower than ginobilli has 82. andre miller is whos is definitely less quicker than ginobilli has 80. i think ginobilli's quickness and speed should be at least in the mid 80's. he elevates better than his rating at 65.
tony parker should be the next in speed to iverson. he should be 97-98.
rasho nesterovic higher def awareness. his rating at 83 is too low. vladimir radmanovic, not a good defender is even higher than rasho.
tim duncan higher off awareness. he's too low at 83. he's a very good offensive player. he can pass and can definitely score.

washington antawn jamison higher inside scoring. antoine walker who is plays more at the perimeter is higher than jamison.
he should have at least 70 in off. rebounding. he's a little too low at 66.

If you think that Antoine Walker is a center you're sadly mistaken. Danny Fortson or Shawn Bradley played center. Walker played the 3 along with Jamison.

He shot 41.9% from beyond the arc last season and 38.4% in his whole career - if that's not worth 90 I don't know what is

Dwight Howard's dunk rating should be a little lower (maybe mid 80s) but he needs more range (he played guard when he was younger) and a boost at blocking and rebounding (just take a look at his sl play).

That's strange. I'll check that out.

Tue Jul 13, 2004 4:29 pm

Yeah I agree that Dwight Howards 3 point rating should be increased and dunking down to about 80.

Also consider Dorrel Wright, J.R.Smith,Andre Iguodala, Rickey Paulding better dunkers.

I think it would be better to decrease some of the overall ratings, Livingston is rated 68. Which is in my opinion a bit too high for him.

Telfair is also a one that is a bit too high.

Tony Allen is a polished 3 or 4 year veteran of college, NBA ready player so IMO his rating should be in the 60's. Here's what I changed:

Dunking: 65 (he showed some real hops in summer league)
Inside scoring: 46 (he's a slasher who can finish well)
Jumping: 67 (see dunking)
Strength: 48 (he's strong like a bull for a 6'4" man)
OAware: 66
DReb: 44
DAware: 71 (terrific defender)
Stamina: 60 (played a lot of college ball, lots of minutes)
Primacy: 39 (not a real scorer out there)
Overall: 63

Delonte West is the same, polished college player...
3 point: 71 (he's got a good stroke & outside shot)
Quick: 79 (great first step)
Passing: 68 (not the best, but he can distribute, trying out at PG)
Dribbling: 71
DAware: 65 (not great, not bad)
Stamina: 55 (played a lot in college, he can hang out there)
Overall: 57 (wasn't as high as I wanted, but nothing else could've been changed that would've stayed realistic)

Big Al Jefferson...great job on him, I would just...
Block: 64
Stamina: 43 (only HS experience)
Secondary position: C
Overall: 61

Is Mark Blount getting a rating boost in this patch? He should be their best center (LaFrentz will be PF), a little bit higher than LaFrentz (who could be lowered a bit...hardiness, inside scoring, dunking).

Heh, you can probably tell I'm going to go play as the C's right now. Thanks Andrew :).

All noted. (Y)

Fri Jul 16, 2004 4:53 pm

James Posey:
3 pt rating should be higher, shot 3's at a 38% clip and made 1.4 a game (38% and 1 per game has guys like Welsch and Cassell around 75).

Sat Jul 17, 2004 7:17 am

Grant Hill's 3pt rating has to be higher than 14, he shot 25.7% over his whole career and 25% in those 29 games he played last season

Okafor probably shouldn't be able to pro hop, he's a typical big man without guard like moves.

As far as Cahrlotte is concerned the lineup should be something like this:
C: Ely / Drobnjak / Brezec
PF: Okafor / Hunter / Sampson
SF: Wallace / Smith
SG: Kapono / Robinson
PG: Hart / House
IL: White (likely to be waived)

I disagree on a few counts...one where's Tamar Slay? He's basically on the team, as he and Wallace got the rest of the summer off for a strong first SL. Second, I would wager that Loren Woods will be on this team with his strong play and good impressions with the Bobcats' staff. Third, Bickerstaff got Benjamin, a player he really likes and said will have a very good shot (after all, I believe Bickerstaff drafted Benjamin). I'm not sure about Smith, honestly I think he'll make the team, but he hasn't been on either summer league team, so I don't know what they have in store for him. Anyways, here's my lineup:

C: Woods/Ely/Drob
PF: Okafor/Hunter
SF: Kapono/Slay/Benjamin
SG: Wallace/Robinson/Benjamin
PG: House/Hart
IL: Sampson, Smith, Carter

Sat Jul 17, 2004 2:22 pm

Since it's more difficult to judge what the Bobcats will do (moreso than the rest of the league), I'll make a projected lineup based on both your suggestions and if you disagree with it, you're free to change it around as you wish. Of course, once the season starts I'll be able to use accurate lineups.

Sat Jul 17, 2004 5:31 pm

Overall is pretty good, altough i lowered each rookie by 1-2 points.

A small detail....change Luke Jackson's hair to "long", he's got long hair in every picture I saw.
