Cole's defense really sucked last night.

Parker vs Cole or Chalmers was man against boys. They had no chance.

LeBron needs more of an assassin mentality like Jordan, Bird, Isiah, & Kobe. They didn't give a fuck about teammates' hurt feelings. At 'winning time', they were taking over. They wanted the ball in THEIR hands, and they were going to take the opponents' heart by any means necessary, and no mfer was going to stop them. LeBron has done that, he doesn't do it enough. As Danny Green noted, sometimes he stops himself.

Should give it to Wade for being more valuable, when the guy falls his way to good stats Miami wins. LBJ gets the best role player award for just doing what he does and never really taking over like Jeffx mentioned. A way better version of a Robert Horry.

I love to say again and again that Wade and James are just so inconsistent shooters and it kills them. Imagine one of them having a deadly shot like other great players who arent as athletic. Would be unstoppable.

Haters gon hate. It's not real hatred, it's analysing their weaknesses and feeling good doing it. So well, maybe that is hate. But I have to defend myself, I am not a casual "big three" hater. I hate the Heat since 06 when they beat my Mavs in such a bad manner. That's why I also hate Wade. He usually would be a player to my liking as he wasn't as hyped as other players when drafted and is more of a killer (unlike LBJ) when healthy. But 06 changed it all. That's why I hate the Heat. And also because of 2011 coughin action, cheering in front of the Mavs bench etc etc.

I got so much satisfaction from that 2011 finals when my Mavs won it, and I still get somehow satisfied when the Heat lose. It's just the way it is.

Yep, Game 5 should always go to the team with homecourt advantage. Hopefully with Stern on his way out, the league will come to its senses and go back to the 2-2-1-1-1. Funny thing is, I heard it was Red Auerbach who was one of the biggest voices for the 2-3-2 format after the '84 Finals.

It's definitely an outdated model now that no one's flying commercial. That said, it wasn't until 2004 that the home team swept Games 3, 4 and 5, so it hasn't proven to be that much of an unfair advantage to the lower seeded team over the years.

Yeah, that's a very interesting situation. He's got a case but I think when it comes down to it, Duncan and Parker are the players that anchor the Spurs and the ones that played the biggest roles in getting them to the Finals in the first place, so I'd say it will be one of them. Or they'll just Jerry West the situation and give LeBron the Finals MVP, regardless of whether or not the Heat win.

Sauru, what was Ray Allen supposed to do? If he said he's leaving because of Rondo, you'd still be hating for his honesty. The guy wasn't wanted, the club didn't love him, and teammates didn't want him. And Ray in surprise, didn't want more money but wanted to go where he could be appreciated. It isn't much different from people hating on Nash just because he took his talent to Cali.

It was the finals where emotions and intensity were flying high. I can see how fans of both teams came to dislike each other.

And this is the kind of things what I like about having discussions here. I get to hear fans from all sides, and rather be reasonable about it otherwise for couple hiccups.

As for your point Wade and LeBron not having range, it's true. Things could be nicer with better shooting. But I thought the real problem in losses were on defensive end. The Heat gave up 61 points in the first half of the Game 5. You aren't going to win too many games that way. But give the Spurs credits. They are a fantastic team that plays more complete game.

And all these conversations are starting to feel post-finals, lol it's not over yet. But ya, Danny Green for MVP. I imagine he will have around 35 3's by the end of the series.

To be honest, the finals are great and all but in my opinion, it's not how it should have been. I mean, ya Wade has been struggling less but in the finals, we all wanted to see some Parker/Duncan/Ginobili VS Wade/Bron/... but LeBron has been playing poorly. Missing shots like he hasn't all season. So, it might have been a bit more fun if the Heat were at their best.

Anyway, one thing I as a Heat fan am happy about is that Heat didn't get sweeped.

The person I will feel the most sad for is Ray Allen when Heat won't win the Championship this year.

Anyway, it's far from over. LeBron has been by far the best player in the NBA for the whole season (at least the regular season anyway), so he has another gear. If the Spurs wrap it up in the 6th, I'd be pleasantly surprised.

All but the first game got boring in the second half. That's real bad in my case as it is around 4.30-5.30 a.m. and I had to fight sleep during the 4th quarters several times.
That's not something that happened often to me since I started watching the Finals exactly 20 years ago.
I really hope the Spurs can put the nail in the coffin in Game 6.

there is so much wrong here its not even funny. the only person who didnt want allen in boston was allen (maybe rondo). all the fans wanted him. the players wanted him. if anything the players wanted the celtics to keep allen and trade rondo. the club of course wanted him thats why they tried to pay him what they did. in the end allen left for three reasons. 1-he felt disrespected over being asked to come off the bench. 2- he hated rondo and 3-he felt it was much easier to win a ring going to the heat. this is the most important one. this one is so much more important its almost pointless to mention the first two. classic ring chaser move.

- Money aside, what did the Celtics really offer? Loyalty? Ring chance? Or maybe friendly locker room? What was in it for Ray if he re-signed?

- Even you were saying, Terry was the better guy for the Celtics. Wasn't that the general supportive move for Ray among Celtics fans anyways? Don't tell me that's your way of 'I wanted RAY back!'.

- The Celtics were fondling with ideas of trading Ray Allen. Now that's 'wanting'.

ray was one of the favorite celtics. you dont know what you are talking about. so many players get brought up in trade rumors each season if the player lets it get to them then thats on them

There's a difference between signing a player from negotiating with another player before the allowed FA signing period because your current player who's a FA doesn't want to accept and commit to your offer before the team even negotiated and signed another player.
