NBA365 Rosters
These are rosters that will be updated daily (kind of like what Live 09 did). I take special care to include all transactions and change team rotations daily.
Free Agency Rosters -- Updated 09/05/2013 -- 9:30pm EST -- Download

Necessary Files
Files #1-3 will never be updated again. Check file #6 for any new faces, logos, courts, or jerseys. Files #4 and #5 will be updated periodically to make #6 smaller.
Copy these into the root folder in the order specified (overwrite earlier # files with the latest ones if there are duplicates):

My association mode is crashing when I use NBA365 rosters, why is this?
I'm not totally sure, but it is probably a combination of a few odd factors. Use the association mode mod for that, for now. Expect a new release of the association mod in the third or fourth week of July.

I'm having players show up headless with white arms, help!
Make sure you download everything under the headline "necessary files." Once you do this, you shouldn't have this problem.

Where can I download the rookie faces?
For NBA365 rosters, download "Rookie CFs for NBA365." For Association mode, download "Rookie CFs for Association." When I re-release association mode late in July, you'll only have to have the NBA365 Rookie CFs.

When I make moves inside the roster, sometimes players end up on random teams. How can I fix this?
I believe I fixed this bug earlier in the week when I made all situational lineups have starters only. This likely fixed association mode as well. I don't guarantee anything, however. I make the best effort I can to upload a roster every single day, so just wait and all the moves will be there in less than 24 hours...I don't miss anything!

Why can't you update the association mode now, I want to play!
Because free agency changes the landscape of the NBA immensely every day. Until it calms down in late July and teams have a better idea of what they'll look like next year, I will not release an association mode. My release in late July will begin at the start of the 2013-14 NBA season and will include the 2014 draft classes.
It appears that disconnecting your internet will fix the association bug with the NBA365 roster.

There is a bug in the roster, where do I need to post this?
You can post about bugs in the thread here. If several people have already mentioned the bug, just send me a PM to avoid cluttering the thread and i'll know the problem is widespread.

What are all the different kinds of rosters?
I used the great roster bases of the two major roster makers on NLSC: Medevenx and Alby's. Each roster comes with a blacktop mode "BT" and a regular mode. Each roster also comes with the option to play as the Charlotte Bobcats or the Charlotte Hornets. Make sure you do not play with a "BT" roster in anything other than blacktop mode, as it will crash the game.

Can you add a missing player?
Likely not. I'm not a roster-creator, more of a roster editor. I bring together the best of everything! I'm very hesitant to add players because Medevenx and Alby's use very complicated rating formulas and I prefer their rosters to play as they intended it.

When I try to save the roster file, the game crashes. Why?
Since I've been playing 2K, custom rosters have been notorious for this. Make sure if you make changes to my files and want to save the roster, save it as something different than what the roster is currently named. You can go back and name it something else in Windows Explorer if you'd like. Do not try to overwrite your save file, it will crash your game and you will lose your changes.

2) Added 2012-13 player awards
3) Added 2012-13 player stats & other missing player stats
4) Added 2012-13 team stats
5) Added 2013 NBA Draft Rookies from Aderitos/Alby's draft classes
6) Changed 2013 NBA Draft Rookies measurables, #'s, draft info to correspond with the 2013 NBA Pre-Draft Camp
7) Changed team abbreviations to recognize former Seattle Supersonics, New Jersey Nets, and Charlotte Hornets
8) Added NBA (Head & Assistants) that were hired in the 2013 offseason
9) Fixed coaches salaries & added additional real coaching prospects to hire
10) Changed measurables of NBA players to reflect data from NBA.com
11) Fixed portraits
12) Added the Charlotte Hornets and New Orleans Pelicans
13) Made post July 1st trades to reflect the NBA offseason
14) Changed schedules to accurately portray the upcoming 2013-14 NBA season
15) Edited shoe colors for new players in the 2013-14 NBA season

So, no interest? I've heard nothing from Med and this is a pretty extensive project for somebody who likes realism in association mode. The project is also totally complete now.

Ah, oh well.

i just noticed this know & im surprised there isnt anybody supporting this project well if im the only one that supports it so be it this looks awesome . if u dont release it, even if it is to me only, that'll suck but i'd understand

Looks a great project here. I dont have time to get involved running a team tho. How did you get the pelicans logo to show up on the draft board? i cant get the large png file to overwrite the small one. did you just resize and overwrite it?

I based it off the logos given in Med's v1.0d. I did have to change the Hornets logo, however. All I did was go into all 4 sizes of logos.iff and change it there, then change out the logo.iff and everything seems to be working just fine.

I've updated all the game highs to reflect the 2012-13 season. Can anyone else think of anything I need to do to bring the game up to date?

Great idea! Maybe somebody can send me a list of these with the injury type and length of injury before I decide to compile it myself

The only bad things about injuries are making judgment calls. As a Lakers fan, I fully expect Kobe to be back for Game 1 in October. However, I know that's about as likely as Mike D losing his job. We'll see though.

Also just updated portraits. If anyone knows how to add Akognon and Willie Reed to the portrait file, I have the .DDS files. I'm just not very good at this kind of thing.

Great job! This is going to be amazing! But I'm planning on releasing a v1.1 sometime soon. I would very much like to collaborate with you on working on the new version! I hope to get it released along with your patch included if that's ok?

Fine with me. Would you be okay me releasing a prototype version with your v1.0d so people can start playing with it and find bugs? The draft is coming up in a month and I wanted to give people some time to play with it and find out what works and what doesn't, just in case.

If you keep all the players in your v1.1 in the same ID spots as v1.0d, integration of these two mods should be relatively seamless. All I'd have to do is copy-paste the skills, tendencies & hotspots straight down the list from v1.1 and the project would be complete.

I just thought about it, but I may have overwritten some player stats in the player stats tab that belonged to the classic players. While this isn't a big deal to me (classic players aren't in the association), it might be a big deal to your players who like playing with the classic rosters. Maybe you could release a v1.1 with just the 30 NBA teams (with updated stats and whatnot), and then a v1.1 with the classic teams?

I'd be okay with you releasing a v1.0d Assoc patch.

However, I don't want to add another ROS file to the patch because 3 is already enough. I think it would be best for the patch for you to release it separately and I'll have it linked here in my next update.
