The game was close until the buzzer sounded. And the Jazz made the most of it. They lost their big lead in the Fourth Quarter, and had to battle it out past there. They were down by 2 with 30 seconds left and Gordon Hayward hit a clutch three pointer. Next the Knicks pushed the tempo, but when they realized they couldn't get the two for one, they slowed down to get a good shot. That shot came as Carmelo Anthony (40 points) put in the floater with just 4.8 seconds left in the game. The Jazz called a timeout giving them the ball at half court, and Trey Burke got the ball, preformed a stepback, and knocked the shot down at the buzzer to slip by the Knicks. After the game Trey Burke noted "I knew we was goin' to win. I just had to put it in to make it happen." Burke also recorded his career high in points in the first start of his career. A buzzer beating game winner is all he needed to cap off his night for the ages. This is the most points scored by a rookie since November 14, 2009 when Brandon Jennings scored 55. Burke is also now leading in the Rookie of the Year candidacy.
The Jazz started the first quarter hot on both ends, defensive and offensive, and at one point they led by 10, 25-15. Al Jefferson and Nolan Smith both had good Quarters Al with 8 and Smith with 7. The Jazz didn't let up in the Second Quarter, and they led by 11 with 2 minutes left, but lost the Quarter through giving up a 8-0 run, allowing it to be made into only a 3 point game. Nolan Smith continued his dominance in this game adding 8 to his total of 7 now at 15. J.R. Smith also appeared for the Clippers hitting 16 points in the first half. In the third Quarter J.R. Smith and the Clippers continued to rise, The Clippers brought their total to five more than the Jazz and Smith really caught fire bringing his total to 28. In the Fourth Quarter the Jazz made their comeback though, knocking down constant baskets, and making up for the previous misses with putbacks. Trey Burke lit it up especially though in the fourth scoring 16 points as the Jazz's closer and swished two crucial free throws that would make it a 2 and 3 point game while getting the MVP chants that have shown up lately. The game that had previously been a slow one, had become a fast paced three point shooting one though. In the last 4 minutes the Jazz hit 6 three pointers and the Clippers hit 4. The Jazz are now tied for the 2nd seed of their conference with Denver and Los Angeles (Lakers) and have a 9-4 record. They are only behind Oklahoma City, who is 11-2. The Clippers are now 7-5 and in the 6th place in the conference.
Stats are below.

Crazy trade sends GM Lindsey out of Utah, and brings in hope with Riley Gisseman.
The Utah Jazz and Indiana Pacers have agreed to a trade to bring Roy Hibbert into Utah, but of course that comes with a price.
The Jazz and Pacers agreed to a trade of the following: Jazz trade: Al Jefferson, Stephen Jackson, '15 2nd round pick '15 1st round pick, Pacers trade: Roy Hibbert, Terrence Williams, 2-2014 first round picks.
The Jazz didn't have anything wrong with these men, and Al Jefferson was playing like an all-star this year. But GM Dennis Lindsey didn't want them in town. On the up-side, the Jazz get two more first round picks this year. And with a stacked draft this could lead somewhere good.
But this trade had Greg Miller fuming and he immediately sent Lindsey (Now former Utah Jazz GM) out the door. And to many's surprise, instead of bringing in a completely new GM he just brought the assistant GM in, Riley Gisseman.
Riley Gisseman played for the Oregon Ducks back in 2006 if you remember and did just about everything. He was projected to go in the top 5 in the draft that year, but a harsh career ending injury made the world forget. He coached and scouted at Oregon for many years before being called up to Assistant GM just this summer. And now with a drastic turn of events he is now the General Manager.

Jazz regroup after Al Jefferson trade and pull off close win.
The game was close until the final 10 seconds, when the Jazz slipped past half court and wore out the clock to end the game. Trey Burke had a fantastic night for his first without "Big Al" Jefferson, scoring 19 points and dishing out 4 assists, on his way to victory, Roy Hibbert, in a Jazz uniform for the first time also had a good game with 13 points and 9 rebounds while shooting a near perfect 6-7 from the field. "It's nice here in Utah, I might need some breathing lessons though, 'Cause I was sweatin' after the first minute or two." Roy Hibbert said about his first game. "We put in a good effort like so many times before," Trey Burke remarked after the game, "And we finished with a win like so many times before." This win brings the Jazz to 12-7 for the year.

Jazz win big over Lakers.
The Jazz started out slow losing the first couple minutes 11-2 but as soon as they caught their steam this team took off, blowing through the rest of the quarter and half-way through the 2nd on a 10-35 run. In that run they had a spectacular alley-oop which will likely be in this weeks SportsCenter top ten. But finished off the half losing 14-19, and up 51-41. The Third Quarter both teams did equally well leaving it tied 77-66. All that LA had to do was score 8 more points than the Jazz to finish the game to make it interesting. They tried and tried, and brought it to a five point game at 79-84, but just couldn't do it, after making the game to it's lowest since they led in the first quarter, they were on the wrong end of a 15-10 run to finish the double digit win for the Jazz.
