Can Refs Get Replay Reviews Wrong?

I was playing with the Warriors against the Spurs in OT. At the end, I threw up a shot with Curry and it went down, but the refs said it would not count. I forgot to save the replay, but I have some screenshots. Are refs programmed to make mistakes like this?

I would imagine that programmers would attempt to get as many calls correct as possible. I can't see them doing this on purpose... but refs do make mistakes in real life so it is kind of like "hey the game is realistic, refs made a mistake". But it looks like a glitch or something

I've seen this happen to some youtubers, it's just a glitch. Hope they get this fixed for 2k14

It's a bug - at least, I highly doubt it's by design - though as tgsogood noted, it does add an unintentional sense of realism by making the referees fallible.
