Haven't seen an episode of The Office this season. How's it been?

You should watch the entire season just to revel in how bad it's been. There's been a few good B plots, but otherwise it's been amazingly terrible.

Actually if you haven't, and are going to watch the season, go back and watch the last two episodes of season seven first since they set up a lot of the suck.

Hopefully Tate will join Spader in leaving. She was only there as this season's antagonist and the poor attempt to humanise her to the audience when Pam went through her voicemails was ridiculous. She was a nasty manipulative bitch who stole Andy's job. There's no sympathy for her.
Why didn't they cut her loose when they had the chance as Andy was re-instated and poised to take his revenge on her?

Why did the writers turn Robert California from some mysterious business guru into a borderline rapist?

Gabe should also be gone now as he is the definition of pointless and as a part of Sabre shouldn't be there anymore anyway.

From what I've read Toby and Kelly won't be back next season as Lieberstein will be working on the Dwight spin-off (wtf is that anyway) and Mindy Kaling just got her own show on Fox.

Not really sure if I'll bother watching this show next season. Guess I'll give the premiere a chance and take it from there.

Also, holy shit they must be 110 years old:

It's apparently getting a new showrunner who didn't care for this season or the two before it and wants to take it back towards how it initially was. We'll see once Kaling and the others leave.

Was announced this will be the final season. With very little Jim and Andy, no Kelly obviously, and some setup for Dwight's spin-off. Plus they're going to do something about revealing the documentary team.

Since it's the last season, Greg Daniels will be back as showrunner for the first time since season four.
Greg Daniels wrote:I’m guessing the show will feel more like Dunder-Mifflin from before the Sabre merger [when former showrunner Paul Lieberstein took over].

Pretty decent finish. That's what she said.

I've finally mastered commitment!
