Not much there yet, but I'm guessing that'll change after E3.

Also, for those who may be unaware, we've launched our new NBA Live 13 portal over on the main site:

Just a place holder. I won't expect any information to come out until June, maybe an early glance in May.

The NBA Live gameplay devs Scott O'Gallagher @ScottOGallagher & Danny Thompson @nbadt29 are usually conversating about NBA basketball related topics on twitter so that may seem like they're passionate about making #NBALive14 a great game when its released. If the devs take notes from @CoreySA articles on how EA Sports can revive NBA Live then NBA Live might have a bright future ahead.

Agreed, but I guess it is the most noteworthy development since the cancellation announcement.

It's certainly an indication that they're keeping things close to their chest for the time being.

What are your expectations for NBA Live 14 assuming if it gets released this year ?

I'm hopeful that the game will be soild & that it can build momentum leading to next gen if it lays a soild foundation.

They better have a next gen version already in the works unless they plan on skipping launch.

I'm going to assume not. They can't even get a console version out.

It definitely needs to be solid across the board: good gameplay with realistic animations, responsive controls and satisfactory AI, at least one really solid and relatively deep offline player mode, a couple of appealing online modes and a few bells and whistles (like FIBA teams). I think that's a reasonable expectation, whereas overtaking NBA 2K in one year is not.

when you mess with the threshold on the picture you can tell that the jersey says twenty something: (I think it's three)

Not Sure if it means anything at all, but her are the players who wore 23 this year:
Marcus Camby
Anthony Davis
Draymond Green
Ben Hansbrough
Kevin Martin
Anthony Morrow
Jason Richardson
Marcus Thornton
Michael Jordan (Obviously)

SOOOOOOO, unless it's MJ, I don't think it has anything to do with it.

Could always just be a placeholder. The most likely player on that list would be Anthony Davis, so here's a headshot for comparison:

lol. I looked at the image in Photoshop. it's a generic Jersey #23. I don't recognize the player, though. Not Lebron.

I'm inclined to think it's a placeholder with Kyrie Irving being the actual cover player, given his previous relationship with EA, appearance in the CGI trailer and a couple of allusions here and there. But it's always fun to speculate.
