Batum may have had a chance if his bitch ass wasnt getting dinged up all season. His FGA and FG makes dipped big time after his nagging right wrist problem throughout the season.
George deserves it though. He is an all-rounder and only 22 years old too.

I'd have taken Vucevic, Vazquez or Sanders, as George doing what he did shouldn't be a surprise to no-one.

Still George's numbers justify that decision. Question is, do the Pacers still need/ have room for Danny Granger?

They don't. He's using more possessions but otherwise mostly the same or inferior to last season across the board.

Taking a closer look at his advanced statline, the only thing he really improved compared to last season is DWS.
And his DWS is outstanding, as he leads the league with a 6.3 DWS.

If only Omer Asik had scored more.

Fair enough choice given the usual criteria for the award. I actually thought Harden would be winning this one given his new role and seeming emergence as a franchise player in Houston, which wouldn't have been completely inappropriate. Vasquez and Vucevic definitely had a case though, I'd say everyone who received more than one first place vote this year was a viable choice.
