I found some mistakes in these coaching sliders so I am going to be redoing them. So I am taking down the link to the current spreadsheet.
Fri Feb 22, 2013 5:06 am
Within the next day or so. I will be opening my own thread with My Coaching Profiles.
First I am going to remake my profiles with this slider set.
Then I will upload spreadsheets and post instruction on how to copy the spreadsheet values into roster editor. That way people can try these profiles without restarting their association or my career seasons and without messing anything up.
The first spreadsheets will be for meds 0.9 roster then after that I will continue to post spreadsheets to different rosters.
I will even post screenshots of stats.

Below is a game Thunder (CPU) Overall (1) VS Bobcats (ME) Overall (30) using my new coaching profiles with Meds 0.9 Roster.

The Thunder have never gone over 95 FGA in a game this season and routinely have 70 - 85 FGA per game. I don't know if you're pushing the pace too much or if they're just not running a realistic offense, but either way there's just too many FGA, possibly by a lot, too. Again, it might just be you as the User, and not anything to do with the settings.

It's quite impossible to get an individual team in a video game to replicate their real life stats. Now you can get teams as a whole to produce realistic stats. Although like you said thunder never got 90 shots in a game this season the fact remains the stats that I posted are still realistic.
Also in meds roster the thunder are rated number 1 overall so that also has a lot to do with it

I'd venture that most teams don't venture into the 90+ FGA range more than a handful of times per season, and sit in a similar 70 - 85 range on most nights. The fact that you got back to back 99 FGA games is problematic, and not realistic. It is also explanatory of your high scores, which are not typically achieved unless a team shoots a higher percentage. As I said, though, it could very well be a user problem, as I want to say that you've said in previous posts that you don't know much about basketball?
For me, the solution is simply playing 11 minute quarters.

Your right I don't know much about basketball. and I think what my problem is. The offensive tempo is to high for the cpu.I am going to have to rework it.
Good news is I got permission from med to post his roster with a version of my coaching sliders. Once I get the Tempo right I will open my own thread with my coaching profiles.
Tue Feb 26, 2013 4:10 am
It will be another day or 2 before I get my own thread started in the mean while here is my coaching profiles tell me what you think about them.
1. With these profiles the cpu will be more diverse on the inside and outside shot
2. Since they are smarter and more harder to defend against. The key on keeping the FGA low is to make them use more of the shot Clock or they will destroy you in points. Not Joking.
3. Because of 1 & 2 you will be able to tell the difference between the bad and good teams even more now.
Here is a game with Thunder (CPU) Overall 1 VS Bobcats (ME) Overall 30

Since the coaching Grades are different with each Roster then the
CS below are for
MED 0.9 Roster only.

Whatever happen to u making sliders for albys rosteR?

I got a question about how making the defenders react more realistic on the perimeter without affecting overall statistics.... I know how to play the game I don't turbo mash, I set up my dribbles and space the floor properly, but I have a really hard time penetrating realistically, I'll have like 1 or 2 nice drives per quarter.... and the thing that frustrates me most is I'll bring the ball up with my speedy PG and notice ok there's a mismatch, a bigman is guarding me, so I'll move and isolate on one side of the court to take him 1 on 1, and 9 times out of 10 the defender will keep up with me and cut me off.... I know 2K made the game so there's no real physics involved it's just animations, so by the time I finish my crossover and heading in the opposite direction he's already halfway there to that spot, so doing crossovers in order to throw the defender off balance will not work, best case scenario is you get an ankle breaker animation but that's very rare, other than that you're lost 9 x outta 10 like I said.....
I got a few videos that show this exact problem I will post up in a bit once I process them
and Trollz, why you clogging up this thread with your own stuff, go create your own thread if you wanna discuss your own profiles, sliders, etc.... not being rude, just sayin bro

Does anyone know if these silders paired with the current URB rosters work well in CPU vs CPU games?
I like to watch CPU vs CPU games so I'm looking for the best (most realistic) sliders for this.

Hey all! Sorry I've been gone for so long. Now that I'm done with classes and free of stress, I'll be looking to get back into editing sliders for URB's roster! I have already done some major testing for a custom Xbox 360 roster, and I have stumbled across some pretty interesting things that GREATLY improve gameplay (a preview of these findings can be found in a recent post by yours-truly in the official URB thread).
There is some slightly-inconvenient news for you all, though. Since it is rather tedious and, quite honestly, ANNOYING to edit my thread on Operation Sports AND my thread here every single time I come out with an update, I have decided to only post updates in my thread over at Operation Sports. I will still bump this thread when an update is available, and a link to my OS thread will be posted in the OP, but you will have to suffer through a few more seconds of webpage-loading in order to view my updates. Again, I'm sorry for this minor inconvenience, but I feel like it's the best and easiest way to do things.
I still want you all to post here with your feedback and questions, though, so don't be shy! Expect a full URB-specific slider update sometime next weekend. In the meantime, however, I will update the OP here with the minor update I posted in Skoadam's URB roster thread so that you all have something to use, and critique me on (STRONGLY ENCOURAGED!), until I can post a full update.
Enjoy the sliders!

Hey, do you think that these would work on meds roster also since they both have slimm's coaching profiles...?
