That's crazy, I would think malls are the primary place for this, aside from social media at least.

Malls have explicitly fought against kids having a run of the place because like TV there's a very specific demographic they wish to attract. Some even establish clear curfews and other time limitations.

Not to mention how many malls have closed up shop over the last few years. (And why many of the remaining ones have increased in size.) Malls are absurdly expensive to maintain in our consolidating times.

Also worth noting that these are "missed connections" and if you hang out at the mall regularly you're likely to see the same people of your age cohort if the mall is a significant enough fixture in the area. It's why Indiana's "at home" is unsettling. But if you see a hot chick at Wal-Mart it's not like you expect to see her again at regular times. (You'd think the "bus/train" ones would increase chances because of the schedule. But it may just be more common because of the city, NY, Chicago, DC, etc. plus the sheer mass of people.)

Utah's College Campus one is a bit interesting because you'd imagine that'd also be fairly well scheduled and easier to find the person. I question Maryland's "park" response. Of course these are only the 100 MOST RECENT entries. Which depending on when that is skews.

If they checked these on Thursday afternoon it'd be way different than Sunday afternoon. I imagine it would show "bar" a lot more than it does if you read these after Friday and Saturday night have happened.

(And I'd be interested to see North Dakota's before the recent oil/gas boom that's flooded the area with desperate lonely well paid men...also how the men seeking men has changed...)
