PROLOGUE

Michael Smith was the star of his college team. He had all the fame and respect he could have. But all that went away when he a serious injury. He could barely play anymore, even when he was about to enter the NBA Draft. A few years passed and no one remembers him anymore. He was unhappy with his life, so many dreams unfulfilled. And now, at the age of 34, he had been lonely, no was one there for him. No family, no friends, no nothing. He'd sleep everyday hoping he wouldn't wake up. He wanted to commit suicide. He went on top of his apartment's roof, slowly walking to the edge. He was nearly about to jump when his phone rang. He answered it.
"Hello, I'm the owner for a certain team in the NBA, and we'd like to hire you as our new GM."
His eyes widened. He carefully tried to get away from the ledge, but he lost balance.

NBA Teams Rumored To Be Searching For New GM

The Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets, and Toronto Raptors have been rumored to be looking for a new general manager. These team spent the summer interviewing several candidates for the job, including former assistant general managers from other teams. But they seem to have their eyes on one certain candidate, Michael Smith. Who was formerly a college player in North Carolina. They think that Smith's experience may be their key to winning a title.

CHAPTER 1

He managed to get a grip on the ledge. Pulled himself up and answered the phone.
"Hello?!"
"Yes, yes I'm still here." said the team owner.
"We'd like to hire you."
"... Hire me as what exactly?"
"As the new GM for the Kings."
"The Kings?"
"Yes, but we're planning to move to Seattle next year."
"You annual salary will with $2,000,000, if it's okay with you."
"Yes, I'd be glad to accept your kind offer."
"Very well then, you'll start as soon as possible."
"Your flight to Toronto will be tomorrow."
"Yes, thank you. You won't regret it."

He arrived at Toronto the next day. He was picked up by a limousine, which he thought was pretty classy. He arrived at the office to see the owner.
"Nice to finally meet you." said the owner.
"You too." he grinned.
"Well, he are the keys to your office, and your new car."
"New car?"
"Yeah, it's parked right over there.
Waiting for him was a new Lamborghini Veneno. He was so awed that he didn't know he was already drooling.
"I'll leave you now, I still have lots of work to do." said the GM.
"Your assistant, Scarlet, will guide you to your office."
He thought his assistant was hot. She had a body with form, not that slim. But she was too young for him.
"Here's your office sir." said his assistant.
"Please, just call me Mike." he said.
"Well okay, here's your office ... Mike." she blushed.
"I'll leave you now."
He sat down in his comfy chair, put his feet on the table, and relaxed.

Kings Sign New General Manager

The Sacramento Kings have signed Michael Smith, as their new general manager. Smith was given a $2,000,000 annual salary, which is a big salary for a GM. The Kings owner say that it was worth it, that Smith will take the team to a new level.

Yeah, the Veneno* is a ridiciously amazing car. I bet anyone would do anything just to get one.
