♣ Another Celtics Association ♣ | New Year, New Look [4-0]

So this is my first Association topic, since I just created this account.
For this Association I chose the Celtics. I've been a fan since I first knew of them. Not sure if there's any other team out there for me. I'm going to post recent updates about the team; hopefully I could everyday. I play at least 2-3 games a day and I'm going to post weekly recaps, that means a week in the association. Please tell me your thoughts about this, and some good advice would be helpful.

Gay one the move; Raptors ship him to Boston

The Boston Celtics acquired Rudy Gay from the Toronto Raptors at exactly 11:00 am on October 29, 2012 when the Raptors GM decided to accept the offer from the Celtics.

Now I know what you're thinking. How could I trade Paul Pierce, the heart and soul of Boston for Rudy Gay?

Here's why: Paul Pierce is getting old, most likely to retire in 1-2 years, Rudy Gay has the athleticism that Paul Pierce lacks, he can finish dunks through traffic, and posterize bigger defenders, and the last one, Gay has a lot of potential, Next to Durant and Lebron, he's probably the best small-forward in the league.

The Boston Celtics acquired Kyrie Irving from the Cleveland Cavaliers at few minutes after 2:00 pm on October 29, 2012. The Cavaliers GM only agreed to the Celtic's GM's offer because they were close friends.

Why would I trade Rajon Rondo, one of the best point-guards in the league?

Here are some reasons: Kyrie's a much better shooter than Rajon, especially from beyond the arc, he can easily score through traffic, Kyrie's isn't that athletic, but he's still more athletic than Rondo, and, he has more potential.

The Boston Celtics acquired Kyrie Irving from the Cleveland Cavaliers at right after the call from the Cavaliers GM on October 29, 2012. Another blockbuster trade for the Celtics.

I have to admit, I regret this trade. Even though George is averaging 20+ points per game, I felt like there were other, better players to choose from. But having George still has some advantages.

He's 6'9, an amazing height for a shooting guard, He's pretty athletic and can posterize smaller matchups, He can shoot the three, which is a must-have for a SG.

Dwayne Wade scores 15,000 point in loss to Celtics | October 30, win against Miami

The 31 year-old shooting guard has a milestone and makes his 15,000th point at the American Airlines Center. But the Celtics beat them by just three points. "We didn't do what we needed to." he said.
The Heat were leading by 2 points, 152-154 with 17.5 seconds remaining on the clock.
Jason Terry hit a clutch 3-pointer which gave the Celtics a 1 point lead with 9.2 seconds left on the clock.
Wade's shoots a 3-pointer with 5.1 seconds on the clock but misses.
Irving takes the rebound with 2.9 seconds left and is fouled. He hits both free throws, giving the Celtics a 3 point lead.
The Heat take a timeout. James is given the ball and shoots the ball with less than a second, he beats the buzzer but it's no good.

Celtics trade Wilcox and White to Houston for Beverley

The Boston Celtics acquired Patrick Beverley from the Houston Rockets at right after the Heat vs. Celtics game on October 31, 2012. The GM's decision was questioned by many.

I don't know why the heck I agreed to this. I can't even remember why would I acquire Patrick Beverley. Although he's currently averaging a good, but not that good, number of points.

Irving's career-high 17 assists leads Celtics to win | November 1, win against Milwaukee

The 20 year-old point guard has a career-high in assists at the game against the Bucks. Kyrie Irving was selected the Jordan Player of the Game. "It was great win." he said. "It's nice to get the award but I'm just glad we got the win."
The Bucks were leading by three points by the end of the first quarter.
"Coach wasn't happy." said Gay. "But we were able to get back in the second quarter."
The Celtics then put on a solid perfomance in the second half. Having a 8-point lead by the end of the 4th.

Gay leads Celtics to victory against wizards

Rudy Gay's 30-point game leads Boston to a win against the Wizards. "We couldn't have gotten that W if it weren't for my teammates." he said.
The Wizards did their best to beat the Celtics, but that just wasn't enough.
Wall scored 33 points while Beal scored 27. "The Celtics were just that good of a team." Wall said.

The thing is, my playing style is different; I rush things a bit. I even force shots sometimes, no time for running plays.
I'm currently ranking at first in most points allowed per game, which is a bad thing. And I'm currently the last in rebounds per game. It's just because the CPU makes most of it's shots almost everytime, even with a hand right in their face.

The weekly update is going to have to wait, going to San Francisco for a few days. I might even watch the Warriors vs. Kings game, which is just in Oakland. Can't play NBA 2K13 but I'll still be online. And hopefully I can finish the game against the Sixers and Bucks today.

Regarding the CPU making all those shots. Perhaps a sliders change?
Nice lineup there! IMO, in no way should you trade George. You have a great backcourt there, the pieces seem to fit together well.

Well, I guess your right. George is really fitting well with the roster. I've recently signed JaJuan Johnson, I mean we do need a big man besides KG. And thanks for the advice; I'll try finding a different slider setting when I get back.

Just to add something to the story. I don't think I'm a pretty good writer but, yeah.

CHAPTER ONE

The members of the Boston Basketball L.L.C were happy with the team's current situation.
But what they weren't happy about was that two their head members, Wyc and Irving Grousbeck, had died in a tragic accident.

"What are we going to do now?" one the the members said.
"80% of the team belonged to them, what are we going to do with it?" "We divide it into equal parts, for each member of the board." said another member. "We just can't do that, what if they have relatives?" "I've known the Grousbecks for a long time." "Long enough to know that they don't have a family, it's just been the two of them since I've met them."

But he was wrong, they did have one relative that was alive.
She was still quite young, about in her 20's. Her name was Kate, she was Wyc's granddaughter, and technically Irving's grandniece. When she knew about her grandfather's death she didn't believe it, but she ended up crying. All of their friends, co-workers we're there at their funeral. Eve It was dark and rainy day in Boston, so everyone had their umbrellas. A man approached and talked to her."I know, it's a terrible loss for everyone." said the Grousbeck's trusted lawyer. "But this is very important, they own a very large percentage of the Celtics. "Y-you mean the Boston Celtics?" Kate was still sobbing. "Yes, we could talk about this at some other time, maybe somewhere less gloomy." "I'll contact you when." He turned around, went into his car and left.

Kate received a call telling her the time and place they would meet.
They met at his office. "So, I'm afraid I haven't properly introduced myself." "I'm Seeley Johnson, your grandfather's laywer." "You already know about the laywer thing." he said. "Pretty funny name." she chuckled. "The important thing right now is about the Celtics, the shares, what are you going to do with them?" "I-I don't know." Kate said. "This is all new to me." "Okay, I understand." Johnson sighed. "How about we'll just leave it to the current members, but you'll still have to contribute something. "Why didn't you just say that in the first place?" she grumbled. "All the money from their accounts now belong to you." She felt dizzy with all the zero's she saw." "And oh, did I tell you about their properties?" she almost fainted.

Just a few games, into the season. The Celtics had already loss two of it's owners.
But that wouldn't stop them from doing what they do best on the court.

I'm thinking about simulating the rest of the season. Tell me your thoughts about this.
I feel like I want to be ahead of the real regular season, but now I'm just trailing.
